“Don’t worry, you won’t be able to escape too.” Gu Changge looked towards the Blood Demon Overlord and the other Demon Overlord. With a mere shift in thought, the void around them suddenly froze and a strong vibration moved towards them. Chaos Qi swirled violently while images of grand holy structures such as heavenly palaces, celestial palaces, and divine buildings surrounded them. Blinding light exploded from within which blocked out the world and reduced everything to chaos.

“The Great World-Sealing Array.” The Blood Demon Overlord recognised the array at once and turned pale. He was already badly injured; he would have easily broken the array if he had been at his prime, yet he couldn’t do that now. Even if he could, it would take some time. Gu Changge would have gotten rid of the Solar Demon Overlord and shifted his focus to him.

He no longer dared to underestimate Gu Changge after seeing the Crimson Cloud Demon Overlord die. The Crimson Cloud Demon Overlord wouldn’t be so easily dealt with even when he was on the verge of death from his grievous injuries, as he could draw power from the World Principles and easily regain his health. However, he had been killed by Gu Changge’s terrifying weapon.

[We must fight him the best we can or we will have no chance at survival.] The Demon Overlord decisively activated his most powerful ability. Blood-coloured light surged up from behind him as if able to penetrate the universe, while blood rained down from above and bloomed into a frightening yet alluring blood flower within the void. Ancient worlds containing enormous power seemed to evolve within the flower. He wielded that energy and ground forward.

“Do you think you can still fight against me at this point?” Gu Changge wasn’t concerned and looked cold as ever. The Eight Barren Demon Halberd sliced across the air, emitting waves of dark light which made the world shake and different worlds crumble to ashes. The attack ended up being futile as the halberd immediately sliced the Blood Demon Overlord into two.

The other Demon Overlord was frozen to the spot after witnessing this. Even though they were already grievously wounded, killing someone in the Sacred King Realm should be child’s play. However, they couldn’t fight against Gu Changge. The weapon the man held was terrifying but also proved he had formidable strength.

“You said you and my son are like old friends. Where is Bufan now?” The Solar Demon Overlord’s expression darkened, knowing he could no longer escape his fate but still wondering how Gu Changge had acquired the Solar Heavenly Blade or entered the place successfully.

“Your son? Well, you can go find him now. You might be able to see him in the underworld.” Gu Changge smiled carelessly.

“You…you killed my son?” The Solar Demon Overlord was overcome by hatred. This was the first time he hated someone more than those Demon Overlords. Even his hatred for his old rival, the Crimson Cloud Demon Overlord, wasn’t this intense.

“Your plans are so cruel. If I don’t die…”

*Slicc!* Gu Changge didn’t let him finish, his arm moving once. The EIght Barren Demon Halberd sliced downwards and split him in half. Any thought the Solar Demon Overlord might have had of defending himself was useless. The halberd then shot from his hand with a flash of dark light towards the shaken Demon Overlord watching from a distance. Blood rained down and World Principles broke apart before the place became quiet once more.

[The Solar Heavenly Blade, the Primeval True Feather.] Gu Changge smiled, lightly mocking, as he floated down from the sky. With a flash of golden light, the Primeval True Feather landed in his palm, glimmering sharply. It contained a lot of ancient Dao energy and array patterns.

[The toughest True Feather belonging to someone in the Nirvana Realm.]

A terrifying dark fog soon emerged, blocking out the sky. An all-encompassing dark hole seemed to appear between the sky and the earth, consuming everything. Gu Changge sat on the ground, all the cells in his body had awakened. His bones, organs, and flesh expelled waves of Qi and vitality, while pieces of the River of Time appeared behind him. An indistinct figure which could crush ancient worlds could be faintly seen within, melding into one with him.

Dao runes moved downwards around him and condensed into the Grand Flask.Sources combined as they surged towards him, the ones belonging to the Nirvana Realm Demon Overlords were especially brilliant and colourful. The two Sources even formed their respective figures as they still contained their leftover Fortituity and Primordial Spirits.

Gu Changge’s cold expression didn’t change whatsoever as his aura transformed. His gains were plentiful as the understanding he had of the Source  of World Principles had broken through the limits of his current Realm and reached another. His cultivation level was the only thing weak about him now.

The late stage of the Sacred King Realm!

The peak of the Sacred King Realm!

The Sacred Emperor Realm!…

Early stage, mid-stage!

Nirvana Realm Sources were rare but to Gu Changge it still wasn’t sufficient since it only lasted until he reached the middle stage of the Sacred Emperor Realm. No matter how unusual the Forbidden Demon Arts were, it couldn’t create a Nirvana Realm being from a Nirvana Realm Source. Besides, the number of Sources he needed to consume was astronomical, though the understanding of cultivation as well as the techniques and abilities acquired were pretty valuable.

[If the World Source here matures, it would be enough for me to reach the threshold of the peak for the Sacred Nirvana Realm.]

Gu Changge got up and the terrifying images disappeared. The place became peaceful once more, with nothing much changed except for the signs of fighting. Four Demon Overlords had died here, two in the Nirvana Realm, and all their bodies had been reduced to ashes. This would have been breaking news to everyone had this happened in the outside world, yet no one knew except for him. As far as the outside world was concerned, the Six Demon Overlords had already died six thousand years before and so no one would notice this event.

[This wouldn’t have been so easy if I hadn’t taken advantage of their inner turmoil.] Gu Changge transformed into a beam of divine light and went after the Lunar Demon Overlord. The World Source wasn’t an urgent issue since there was only him inside the Mirror World. He now wanted the Lunar Demon Overlord dead.

The Lunar Demon Overlord looked pale as she hid inside the cave which expelled light from its walls, yet her gaze was steady. She sat on the ground and began healing her injuries; she wouldn’t have been in this state after being attacked by two people if she had used all her abilities, yet she had to make the others lower their guard.

To the others, her strength was the weakest among them and they wouldn’t see her as much of a threat. The only way of getting a share of the World Source was to maintain her strength and her secret card.

If she couldn’t get it, she could leave this world and flee.

[Brother Solar, don’t blame me for abandoning you. My strength wouldn’t be useful to you there. If anything happens to you, I will watch over your son Jun Bufan after I escape this place. Still, they should not be able to do anything when you have your Solar Heavenly Blade.] The Lunar Demon Overlord sighed lightly. She wouldn’t have resorted to this if she wasn’t attached to something.

A light then shone between her eyebrows as a sealed palace appeared within. A robe dropped from it, glimmering with myriad Principles and Laws. It looked sacred and otherworldly with an aura of indestructibility. This was the Indestructible Robe, which was said to be made by a Primal Godly Spirit in ancient times that could shield attacks from those in the Nirvana Realm.

This was her secret ace in her sleeve. She needed to make great preparations since she already vowed with the other five Demon Overlords to come to this world without such an artifact. The Solar Demon Overlord used his son as a backup so Jun Bufan would bring the Solar Heavenly Blade to him. She had her own plan too, but she concealed it so well that even the Solar Demon Overlord who treated her like his godsister knew nothing of it.

Just as she was about to put on the Indestructible Robe, a tremble suddenly came from a distance outside the cave. The Lunar Demon Overlord frowned, confused yet wary about who had followed her secretly to this place.

[Solar and Crimson Cloud are still fighting, and the other two may be too occupied to chase after me.] Her palm glowed before a light blue staff appeared in her hand, seemingly made from an indestructible blue metal which shone as brightly as stars.

She became more confused after sensing her visitor’s aura. “Young Master Changge? Why have you followed me here?”

She got up and left the cave, storing her Indestructible Robe. She looked calm and steady. Gu Changge then dropped from the sky outside the cave.

“How’re your injuries, Senior Lunar? I have plenty of medicine for treating wounds which I’ll put here if you need them.” He spoke up first, a polite smile on his face like he already knew what she was about to ask him. The Lunar Demon Overlord shook her head slightly, studying him as if she wanted to see through him.

“Why have you followed me here?” she asked once again, exuding a steady but powerful aura. The void shivered, ready to collapse at any moment.

“I was a little worried when I saw how badly wounded you were, so I chased after you. Of course, I was also worried that I would be injured by the vibrations from the fight among the other Demon Overlords there.” Gu Changge didn’t seem fazed by her threatening demeanour and continued to smile calmly.

She trusted his explanation somewhat. She didn’t think he would be stupid enough to stay after seeing the Solar Demon Overlord beginning to lose.

“How’s the situation when you left?” she couldn’t help but ask.

“How’s the situation? It’s best if you see it for yourself.” He was still smiling. “Or you can go ask them yourself.”

The Lunar Demon Overlord immediately sensed a murderous energy surging towards her and turned pale. She tried to put on the Indestructible Robe at once. However, he was faster than her. Golden light flashed from under his sleeve as the Primeval True Feather emerged like a sword from its scabbard, shooting through the void towards the space between her eyebrows.

“How dare you!” She became panic stricken, not expecting Gu Changge to suddenly attack with the purpose of killing her. The cave collapsed immediately and she fearfully flew into the sky.

His power was beyond imagination. While she was in the Third Minor Quasi-Nirvana Realm, she could sense an enormous well of power within him which was more terrifying than when she had first met him.

[What had happened in such a short time? Had he been concealing his true power?] She was extremely shaken by this.

Her Indestructible Robe shimmered as it blocked the golden feather Gu Changge wielded, yet she didn’t feel comforted by it at all. Her Qi and vitality  swirled violently as she retreated several steps, coughing up blood.

“This is the Crimson Cloud Demon Overlord’s Primeval True Feather. Why do you have it?”

She became even more astounded when she realised that the golden feather was the Primeval True Feather which the Crimson Cloud Demon Overlord had used in the fight with the Solar Demon Overlord. This was the toughest feather on his body, which he had cultivated for many years, so its power wouldn’t be inferior to that of a Nirvana Grade Artifact.

“What happened after I escaped? Did you actually kill all of them?” Her expression was stricken and she felt overwhelmed by fear. This was far too unbelievable to her. [How? How did he do it? But, if he did not kill them, how is it possible for him to get that feather!?]

“It’s overrated since it can’t even kill someone only in the Third Minor Quasi-Nirvana Realm. But, your Indestructible Robe is unique though. So, that might be why it did not immediately kill you.” Gu Changge did not answer her question, his eyes on the shimmering Indestructible Robe. She felt a chill run up her spine and shivered, feeling fear towards a youth for the first time.

“Do you plan to kill yourself or do you want me to help?” He glanced at her, sounding careless like he was asking if she was hungry.

“The Solar Demon Overlord and the others all died by your hand.” The Lunar Demon Overlord’s voice shook uncontrollably as she couldn’t fathom how that had happened. Even if Gu Changge possessed a mysterious ability, he couldn’t have killed two beings in the Nirvana Realm. This was like a nightmare. But, it was a fact that the Primeval True Feather belonging to the Crimson Cloud Emperor was now in his hand.

“If you want to know, go ask them yourself.” The Solar Heavenly Blade appeared in Gu Changge’s hand with a clang. The aura felt able to slice the universe apart.

“I have no quarrel with you. Why do you want to kill me?” She felt cold with fear and moved different Dao runes, wondering if the Indestructible Robe could block the attack from the blade.

“Do I need a reason?” He sliced the blade downwards, making her cough blood once again. The light coming from the Indestructible Robe dimmed as the runes on it were erased. All her abilities were useless in the face of such power and she felt desperate. Even though she had healed from most of her injuries, she didn’t have a chance against this young man. He was just too powerful.

“I can kill myself via decapitation and give this Indestructible Robe to you, but please agree to my request or I will blowup and destroy the Indestructible Robe without letting you possess it.” The Lunar Demon Overlord gritted her teeth as she had finally thought of this idea. She trusted that he wouldn’t so stupid and realise which option was more advantageous for him.

“What request?” Gu Changge asked quietly. He was actually interested in the Robe since it was a precious treasure which could counter a Nirvana Grade Artifact. It was considered rare even among the Immortal Forces. While he wouldn’t need it, Yue Mingkong might like it.

“It’s a simple one for you. Help me send a message to my daughter Yao Xi. All these years, I’ve-” She smiled bitterly, having accepted her fate and no longer struggling uselessly. What she wanted most was to leave this place so she could tell her daughter, Yao Xi, everything that had happened in these six thousand years and ask for her forgiveness.

“No need for that.” Gu Changge frowned and interrupted her. “Save that for when you go see her.”

He didn’t like leaving any open ends. The secret of the Six Demon Overlords should remain buried here; the Lunar Demon Overlord was merely a nobody even though she was Yao Xi’s mother. Empress Yao Xi was just a tool for him to use and he wouldn’t spare too much of his emotions on her. Still, he still cared for her feelings occasionally.

Since the Lunar Demon Overlord already showed her regrets and her intention to mend her relationship with her daughter, he didn’t want to concern himself with having the Lunar Demon Overlord’s blood on his hand – for Yao Xi’s sake. If the Lunar Demon Overlord felt nothing for Yao Xi, he would have gladly helped Yao Xi kill her mother.

The Lunar Demon Overlord was stunned, the blood draining from her face. Her expression was full of torment while her voice shook. “Did you kill her as well?”

To her, it sounded like he was planning to send her to her death so she could relay that to her daughter herself. [Does that mean? Yao Xi is already dead!?]

Gu Changge glanced at her strangely before replacing the Solar Heavenly Blade. “I didn’t kill your daughter, and I won’t kill you either. Just be mindful of what you say.”

The Lunar Demon Overlord froze after hearing his words, confused as to the drastic change in his attitude. He had looked like he wanted to kill her before this, yet now, he wasn’t going to do it. She wasn’t going to ask too much about it though, assuming it was probably due to Yao Xi.

“Thank you for not killing me, Young Master Changge. I will never tell anyone what happened here. I swear on my Dao Heart to never say anything about this, and if I break my promise, I shall be struck dead by the heavens and never be reborn again.”

Her attitude towards Gu Changge was much more obedient now. She gave him the Indestructible Robe after making the vow; after all, she was smart enough to know surviving was much more important than anything else.

  1. Es genial ver cómo el prota puede ser despiadado en algunas ocasiones pero a la vez pues… No es tan “sanguinario” como se aparenta no ? xD

    1. Well he was thrust into position of a villain and saddled with sociopath heart, but before that he lived a few decades as a normal human, and as much as power corrupts, when he’s not threatened or enticed – he can actually act as one.
