However, Gu Xianer soon caught sight of the faint lift in the corners of Gu Changge’s mouth and immediately realised that he was teasing her again. She clenched her jaw and smashed her fair fist down on him. She sorely wished she could pummel him to the ground.

Naturally, this conclusion was only relative to what could have been. Many Forces were wiped out as Dark Heaven dominated the Upper Realm. They were not merciful in any way. All Forces were living under their thumb right now.

Gu Xianer had gone back to the Giant Wave Ancient World a while ago and stayed with her parents for some time. Gu Changge had taken note of her departure, but once she returned, her mood did not seem to have improved by much.
Even though Gu Changge did not want to admit it, he knew that deep down inside, he still felt indebted to Gu Xianer.

Peach Village was fairly small. It was located within the Land of Abandoned Celestials in the Upper Realm and surrounded by thousands of kilometres of untouched forests.
Ancient trees towered high above; various ferocious beasts roamed about. Ordinary cultivators did not dare to come near this place.
Lately, whenever Gu Changge had nothing else to do, he would drop by Peach Village and stay for a while. After all, it was a pretty relaxing place, and now that the Upper Realm was flourishing even more than before, it was harder to find a moment of peace.
