The massive halberd that emerged was made of an unknown material. It was entirely dark with a mysterious greenish gleam. Though only about three metres long, it seemed heavy enough to crush the universe.

The cold blade of the halberd was full of ancient and weathered marks. Some parts of it were still stained with blood that had not dried yet. These bloodstains shimmered brightly with divine light interwoven within them. It was as if they contained the supreme experts that died under the halberd.

Even to this day, the terrifying aura remained, still shaking all of existence.

“What a fearsome weapon…” The others, such as Azure Heaven and Profound Earth had fear written all over their faces. They were all thunderstruck by the aura. Their bodies were in pain, and they were too afraid to go nearer.

They knew full well just how terrifying this fearsome weapon was. Many Immortal Kings came to their demise because of it.

Even a greatly revered Immortal King from the Immortal Domain had been beheaded by this deadly weapon.

This weapon was also the reason the many Immortal Kings of the Other Domain were deeply wary of King Ming.

It was rumoured that King Ming had been summoned by the Ancestor of an Emperor Family because of this very weapon.

However, no one knew for certain where this fearsome weapon came from and how it originated. But, based on what King Ming said today, could it be that the weapon was related to the Forbidden Epoch.

As Azure Heaven, Profound Earth, and the other Immortal King looked on in shock, Gu Changge’s gaze fell upon the massive halberd. His interest multiplied.

“It’s this fearsome weapon! No one knows for sure where King Ming had acquired this unparalleled fearsome weapon. Many Immortal Kings of the Immortal Domain tried to trace back its origins, but they all failed and even suffered a backlash.”

“There is a rumour that one Immortal King said that he saw this weapon during the Forbidden Epoch. In fact, barely any ancient texts have records of it so, we aren’t certain of its connection to the Forbidden Epoch…”

“There was another Immortal King who tried to create a record of all the weapons of all living Immortal Kings. When this fearsome weapon was included in that list, it surpassed everything the other Immortal Kings had. It was even hailed as the weapon that could completely destroy the world.”

Jin Yuan’s voice trembled as he spoke. Even though they were separated by a vast black ocean, he still felt a deep sense of dread. He was overwhelmed by the aura emanating from the fearsome weapon, which was making his scalp tingle.

A clash between two Immortal Kings would last a very long time, even if it did end in a victory. It might take tens of thousands of years, and possibly even longer.

Yet, King Ming could instantly behead several Immortal Kings with this fearsome weapon. The fact that it was stained with the blood of numerous Immortal Kings proved how terrifying it was.

“Since you have a replica of the Forbidden Flask, I’m sure you recognise this artifact of mine…” As King Ming spoke, his aged voice was filled with a sense of pride and indifference.

He addressed Gu Changge through the black ocean. “Don’t think you are invincible just because you have those two flasks. This artifact ranks as the most fearsome weapon after those that belong to Immortal Emperors. It has made its mark across the universe. No one can put up a fight against it. Even artifacts of the Immortal Kings from other True Worlds pale in comparison to mine… The Ancestor of an Emperor Family even offered to give me a Quasi-Immortal Emperor Grade Artifact in exchange for it.”

“Although what I have is just a replica of a Forbidden Treasure, I used countless divine materials and precious treasures to create it. On the day it was formed, I even offered up my own blood, the blood of an Immortal King who has lived through several epochs. Although it is barely a shadow of the original, it is undefeatable in the present Immortal Domain.”

King Ming’s voice was full of self-satisfied pride.

During the Forbidden Epoch, he had not been an Immortal King yet. He was only a True Daoist who followed the Other Domain army into the ruins of the Immortal Palace. At the time, he was fortunate enough to witness the devastation caused by the Heaven destroying halberd.

Just a flash of the halberd’s aura destroyed countless worlds and silenced eternity. No Principle could stop it. The Great Dao had collapsed, and Heaven mourned.

He had been shocked to the core and remained dazed for a very long time. In the end, he mustered all his strength to sear a divine trace of the halberd’s aura into his mind.

It was that very divine trace that allowed him to reach his present height. It even helped him become an Immortal King.

After becoming an Immortal King, King Ming spared no effort to try and recreate the fearsome weapon he had seen.

After many failed attempts, he finally succeeded in creating the replica he now owned.

King Ming knew that this replica of his could not compare to the might of what he saw that day. Nevertheless, it was enough for him to rise above all the other Immortal Kings and make a fearsome mark for himself.  Now, everyone was afraid of him.

Upon hearing this, Azure Heaven, Profound Earth, and the others were all stunned. Their hearts tensed up in shock.

They never would have imagined that the artifact in King Ming’s hand had such a background. Though it was just a replica, it was enough to make Immortal Kings quake in fear.

Most importantly, it was something truly related to the Forbidden Epoch. Just like the two flasks that Gu Changge had, it was also a replica of a Forbidden Treasure.

“I do recognise it,” Gu Changge replied with a hint of amusement.  He was smiling lightly. “But, who told you that my Grand Flasks are replicas?”

“They’re not replicas?” King Ming, Profound Earth, and Azure Heaven were startled. Their brows furrowed tightly in doubt as they did not believe Gu Changge.

How could they possess such formidable power, capable of swallowing Heaven and Earth, if they were not replicas? Nothing could withstand the power of its devouring might. Even the time and space around them were obliterated.

“How did you come to possess these two flasks if they are not replicas? Just who are you?” King Ming’s eyebrows were tightly knitted. He flicked his hand and the large halberd flew through the void before landing in his grasp.

Up until now, he seemed like a wizened old man, but now, his aura abruptly changed. He seemed like an ancient God of War. His murderous aura pierced the fog and weaved through the sky as if it would rip apart the universe.

Countless from the Other Domain prostrated on the ground and bowed in his direction. They worshipped him with deep reverence.

Profound Earth, Azure Heaven, and the other Immortal King quickly backed away so that they would not get caught in the aftermath of King Ming’s attacks. Even they were terrified of this fearsome artifact, worried about getting caught in its crossfire.

“A replica?” Gu Changge chuckled softly without explaining.

At the very next moment, the two Grand Flasks that were hovering in the void shattered with a cracking sound before turning into a vast black sun that swept towards the ends of the universe.

It was a patch of black Grand Runes as mighty as a torrential river. The deafening sound was accompanied by unthinkably horrifying might.

All Star Territories shook as if they had been struck by the terrifying energy that they could not withstand. Many powerful True Immortals trembled and fell to their knees. They felt as if their Souls were being torn apart. Things were even worse for the ordinary people.

“It’s not an artifact? It’s just made of Grand Runes?” All the Immortal Kings immediately picked up on this. Their expressions changed dramatically. They could now tell that the flasks were made out of Grand Runes.

The flasks were not the replicas as they had thought they were. They had mistaken Gu Changge’s technique as artifacts instead.

After realizing their error, their expressions underwent significant changes. They were filled with shock and disbelief, especially King Ming.

Just a moment ago, he unleashed an attack with his halberd that was enough to tear the universe apart, but it failed to split open the black ocean. Furthermore, he was now being told that these Grand Flasks had merely been condensed through a technique instead of being an actual artifact. How could he possibly come to terms with this?

“That’s impossible. How could you have done it? Could it be that you once came into contact with that…”  King Ming’s expression changed as he suddenly thought of a possibility. His eyes blazed with excitement.

What he wanted most in life was to come into contact with real Forbidden Treasures, to gain insight from them and make his replica even more true to the original.

If Gu Changge had come into contact with the Forbidden Flask, it would not be surprising that he used the insights he gleaned from it to recreate the flask through a technique.

“I have indeed come into contact with it.” Gu Changge was still smiling faintly. “And, what a coincidence. I have an artifact that’s quite similar to the one you’re holding.”

“What…?”  King Ming was momentarily stunned. Before he could wrap his head around what Gu Changge said, his eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

*Rumble*

A horrifyingly fierce aura was unleashed as a large, cold halberd that gleamed in black light appeared in Gu Changge’s hand. He pointed it southwards and made a light flick. The blade of the halberd hummed softly as the Great Dao began to collapse.

The vast sky seemed to be as fragile as a sheet of paper, and with a tearing sound, a never-ending rift appeared. It seemed to lead to other unknown Domains.

The gentle hum shattered all of eternity, fractured all of existence, and swept across the universe as well as the River of Time.

All Dao Abilities and traces of the Great Dao turned to dust under this hum.

King Ming stared in shock. He was wide-eyed in disbelief, quaking in fear.

[How is this possible?] At this very moment, he suddenly remembered the halberd that had cut through countless worlds during the Forbidden Epoch. It had been just as grand and terrifying as it destroyed everything.

“This… this… this…”  His voice trembled and his entire body was shaking. He was completely gripped by fear that consumed him and made his knees go weak.

“Say, do you think this is a replica too?” Gu Changge still had a faint smile on his face, but his gaze was filled with icy indifference. His eyes were completely unemotional.

“It’s remarkably similar to King Ming’s weapon.”

“W-What’s going on?”

Azure Heaven, Profound Earth, and the others were still in a daze. Their eyes were fixed on the Eight Barren Demon Halberd in Gu Changge’s hands as they tried to figure out what was happening.

However, when they looked at it, a flash of icy light, in the shape of a halberd, descended into their minds. It felt as if its mere aura was crushing their Souls.

“Gasp…”

In an instant, Profound Earth and Azure Heaven suffered grave injuries. They both spat out a mouthful of blood. Their gazes were filled with shock and horror. They did not even notice the way their voices were trembling. “That… is something… that we can’t even look straight at…”
