The Immortal Domain and the Upper Realm which had been separated for countless Epochs were connecting once more; colliding with one another.

The Great Dao of both worlds possessed immense power as they interweaved and illuminated the world.

All beings in the Upper Realm saw the radiance appearing in the furthest reaches of the sky. All manner of strange scenes and omens burst forth. An ancient world was glowing with Celestial Light. All kinds of life-extending matter poured out as if to fill every corner of the Upper Realm.

Following this scene, the barrier of the world seemed to turn hazy and translucent. Everyone could see the two Realms coming into contact.

The overwhelming effects made all worlds tremble.

With loud and clear cracks, some ancient worlds caught in between immediately shattered like eggshells.

Thankfully, the living beings from these ancient worlds had long since moved away. Otherwise, the pressure and force from the collision could even reduce Immortals to dust.

One after the other, the worlds collapsed and shattered in pieces before returning to chaos.

Even so, new life was budding in those fragmented worlds. This was just the way of the Great Dao. The will for new life was only natural, and it could not be destroyed by the collision of the two Realms.

Gu Changge sat on the edge of the world. He was basically the Master of Heaven and Earth. Behind him, the hazy silhouette of the River of Time emerged. The massive waves crashed thunderously.

He pressed his palm down to merge the Immortal Domain and the Upper Realm by allowing them to collide. Three thousand Daos were gathered.

The Dao of Life enveloped both worlds as light illuminated every corner.

The Immortal Domain began to merge with the Upper Realm, and the first point of contact was the vast universe where the Southern Immortal Domain was located.

It immediately collapsed as it could not withstand the chaotic energy of new life.

All living beings in the Southern Immortal Domain were staring in shock. They were worried that they would die from the collision of the two Realms.

However, Gu Changge’s gaze fell upon the place, and with a flick of his sleeve, the Great Dao seemed to ripple out. The areas which showed signs of collapse began to mend, and a mighty force emerged to firmly hold the barrier of the two Realms.

Slowly but surely, the Great Dao of both Realms made contact. Although it was a slow process, it would not take too long. Gu Changge’s True Body was suppressing the two Realms, and his gaze swept across every corner of the world.

“This is my first time seeing the Immortal Domain with my own eyes after the separation…”

“I thought he would simply create a path to connect the Immortal Domain to the Upper Realm. I didn’t expect him to combine the two Realms.”

“Is he planning on reviving the glory of ancient times so that both Realms can flourish as it once did?”

“Such boldness and resolve! He puts us all to shame.”

Many ancient cultivators from the Upper Realm were stunned by this scene. They began to voice the awe and respect for Gu Changge.

Anyone aware of history knew that Gu Changge was not a benevolent being. In fact, that term had nothing to do with him. One could even say that he was a bona fide villain. He was a cunning and ruthless individual who used his kind and easy-going demeanour to trick the world.

The Forces had already unearthed all the things he had done ever since he appeared. Even though none dared to speak of it, everyone was fully aware of it.

Gu Changge was the prime reason why the Divine Empire could expand so quickly until it reached this level of unmatched authority.

Why would the Forces choose to submit to the Divine Empire so easily if they did not fear him? Why else would they offer up the power of their hearts and Souls which allowed him to dictate whether they lived or died?

One could describe Gu Changge’s act of merging the Immortal Domain and the Upper Realm as the first major feat since the Forbidden Epoch.

At this moment, all territories were in harmony as the brilliant light scattered across every corner!

Golden sacred lotuses bloomed in the universe. Sounds of the Great Dao containing wondrous meanings echoed in the void, as if to lead all living beings to the ultimate peak of the Great Dao.

All at once, the Immortal Domain was enveloped by something that every single cultivator could sense. It felt as if a new Heavenly Dao was being born, or as if some kind of Will was looming over the world.

Following that, a form of consciousness descended over the Realms as if to shroud them all. The only exception was the territories beyond the Sea of Boundless Expanse. Except for all the unknown territories of yore that were filled with chaos and the Forbidden Areas separated from the rest of the world, this new Great Dao covered everything else.

All living beings from both the Immortal Domain and the Upper Realm could clearly sense the changes.

Not only was the Spiritual Energy becoming richer and more abundant, but even the World Principles grew clearer. Most notably, they could sense the presence of the Great Dao.

Prior to this, the Great Dao was always mysterious and invisible, such that ordinary cultivators would never be able to realise they had come into contact with it.

But now, the new Great Dao was clear and complete. The entire environment became even more suitable for cultivation.

“This is what the true age of glory feels like…”

Many were exclaiming at the top of their lungs in excitement, as they kneeled in the direction of Gu Changge with the utmost sincerity.

The cultivators who previously had no chance of ever furthering their cultivation were so emotional that tears streamed down their faces. They finally had the hope of progressing further.

It would be apt to say that they were already at the limit of their potential. Without Gu Changge, their vitality would eventually start to decline. They would not have a future to look forward to, and they would spend the rest of their lives waiting to die.

Therefore, this was not simply a feat. It was a true blessing!

The ancient beings, the elderly ones known as the hidden experts, could not hide their bubbling emotions either.

“It’s becoming even harder for me to comprehend the situation now… If I’d known that this would happen centuries later… haaa… would the ones who fought to seize the Tree of Epoch regret their decision now? They could have had the chance to progress in their cultivation.” The Golden Sun Gifted Lady who had long since recovered her youth stood on her Family’s land and quietly took in everything with a complicated expression.

She was not too far from becoming an Immortal. Nevertheless, she did not have the proper opportunity to come into contact with the Great Dao, let alone figure out the Path to Immortality.

However, as the two Realms combined, and with the emergence of the new Great Dao, everyone saw their paths forward being illuminated.

This included her.

Knowing the talent she had, there was no doubt that she would be able to become an Immortal in this new environment if she focused all her efforts on cultivating for a few centuries, or maybe a few millennia.

“An achievement that will be recorded in history…”

Jiang Luoshen murmured as she stood beside the Golden Sun Gifted Lady. She could feel the glimmering Great Dao scattering across the world and illuminating the skies like a shower of blessings.

For the beings of the Upper Realm, Gu Changge was a rather controversial being.

Some respected him, some were in awe of him, some hated him, and some despised him with every fibre of their being, so much so that they wanted nothing more than to rip him into pieces. They dreamed of overturning the Divine Empire and avenging their Ancestors who had died.

Every step that Gu Changge took to get to this point was marked with bodies and bloodshed. Countless Forces as well as numerous universes and ancient worlds had been wiped from existence due to the trap laid in the Resplendence Universe.

There was a brief chasm in history of the Upper Realm as numerous hidden experts died at Gu Changge’s hands. He had refined them all into medicine.

It was impossible to count them all.

There was no point in mentioning the things that happened before what happened in the Resplendence Universe. Too much had happened, and there was no way of keeping a clear and fully accurate record.

“The future generations will get to judge right from wrong.” Empress Yao Xi of the Demon World murmured to herself as she recalled the words Gu Changge once said to her.

All of a sudden, she wondered if this had been Gu Changge’s plan all along. What he wanted to do was beyond the imagination of everyone, so perhaps he did not care that he was considered a monster by all.

Right now, he was using his formidable Divine Abilities to unite the two Realms as one again. What kind of an achievement was it?

Who could boil his actions down to right or wrong in just a few sentences?

Empress Yao Xi’s gaze became even more complicated.

*Rumble* As the new Great Dao emerged, the Six Paths of Reincarnation fell into the depths of the universe and turned into a silver ocean that was as vast as it was mysterious.

Within that ocean, the World Tree bloomed and grew so large that just a single branch seemed like a towering tree from the Legendary Era.

Its densely packed leaves were green and lush. Every single leaf seemed capable of bearing an ancient world.

“It’s a new Tree of Epoch! No, wait. It’s now the World Tree!”

“We are bearing witness to the birth of a legend…”

Countless people were on their knees as they bowed with deep sincerity!

After witnessing the emergence of the World Tree, even the universe seemed small in comparison.

One leaf was equivalent to one world, and when the wind blew, countless worlds moved with a thunderous rumble!

Over at the Other Domain, in a territory surrounded by heavy mist, some of the Immortal Kings there were standing tall whilst surrounded by Chaos Qi.

They could sense the changes occurring in the Immortal Domain even though it was not truly connected to the Other Domain.

The majestic sounds of the Great Dao could not be blocked out. They could be heard clearly despite the great distance between the two Domains.

“The Immortal Domain and the Source World are starting to merge again…”

“There’s no way of knowing if and when the Other Domain will be affected by this”

The Immortal Kings from the Other Domain spoke with heavy hearts. They dared not try to do anything to stop what was happening.

They could even sense that the World Principles of the Immortal Domain were starting to suppress them even more than before. If they dared to venture into the Immortal Domain at a time like this, they would undoubtedly pay a catastrophic price.

Furthermore, the one behind all of this was Gu Changge, the being that even Immortal Emperors feared.

Immortal Emperors who had exited seclusion had an ambiguous attitude towards this matter. Something the Immortal Kinds could not figure out. Many Immortal Kings speculated that the Immortal Emperors would be making a decision that would affect the entire Other Domain.

Inside the City of No Return in the Floating Nether Realm.

“Is he trying to unite the power of the two Realms?” the Old City Lord murmured. Though his eyes were still closed, he could sense everything. At the end of the day, the Floating Nether Realm was still a part of the Immortal Domain.

Anything that happened in the Immortal Domain would be reflected here too.

The many living beings in the Floating Nether Realm would be affected by the situation as well. After all, this was a blessing for all, a major event for all living beings.

If the Heavenly Dao emerged and bestowed upon merit to ones accomplishments, the power gained would be immeasurable.

“The environment in the Immortal Domain is even more suitable for cultivation now. It is indeed a blessing for all the ordinary living beings and an unsurpassable achievement.”

Qing Feng commented with a mildly complicated look in his eyes.

Influenced by those in the City of No Return, it was only natural that he did not have any goodwill towards that world-destroying Demon.

Nevertheless, upon witnessing this event, his emotions were rather complicated.

“Regardless of what happens, there’s no changing the fact that he’s my mortal enemy. I thought he died in that epoch, but since he has reemerged in this era, I will make him pay for what he did in the past.”

Cen Shuang’s eyes flashed with hatred and resentment as she growled through gritted teeth.

Her Father, an Immortal Star King, who was one of the four Star Kings of the Immortal Palace, had died at the hands of this Demon. She would never forget this grudge.

Qing Feng glanced at her and sighed.

It was impossible for Cen Shuang to take revenge by herself. Even though Cen Shuang spent all these years working hard to advance her cultivation and grow stronger, she was nowhere near as powerful as the Demon she wanted to go up against. She had no chance of success.

“Senior Brother Qing Feng, I don’t plan on marrying anyone before I avenge my Father. I know it’s almost impossible for me to do that. So, all I can do is apologise…” Cen Shuang glanced at Qing Feng before leaving with her blood-stained spear. Her crisp and cool voice was filled with determination.

She had overheard the exchange between the Old City Lord and Qing Feng. Alas, she dedicated her life to cultivating and her desire for revenge. She could not spare any time for romance.

She also simply viewed Qing Feng as an Older Brother. She did not harbour any other sort of feelings for him.

She hoped that her words had been enough for him to understand her stance. She figured he would feel better if she said this instead of rejecting him outright.

She did not plan on sticking around any longer. She knew that the Old City Lord would try his best to convince her to marry Qing Feng.

“Revenge? Perhaps I can help you,” Qing Feng could not help but murmur as he watched Cen Shuang head off to the Land of Blue to continue hunting down Demons.

The Old City Lord who was lying in bed sighed in response to Cen Shuang’s reaction. Then, he began to instruct Qing Feng on other important matters.

“Time is running out. Qing Feng, what you need to do now is to try and find the other seven Exquisite Realms. At the time, many peerless experts gathered their descendants and went into hiding in those Realms. Many of them were once part of the Immortal Palace. Perhaps you can change the situation if you are able to find the Nine Heavens.”

“The mysterious Nine Heavens is only mentioned in legends. However, they existed even before the dawn of existence. Some of the Families have a heritage that’s even more ancient than the Primordial Mythical Era. They might have even come from other Realms and existed before the dawn of existence.”
