When Kousuke brought out the monster he had defeated to complete the request, the receptionist widened her eyes and was surprised.

The request had indeed instructed us to take down that many monsters, but they had not expected all of them to appear here at once.
“Please wait a moment. I will check with the person in charge right away.”

He was the appraiser at this guild.

The requests that Kousuke’s group received were usually accomplished with multiple parties.
When they did it, the carcasses were usually transported by horse-drawn wagon and handled outside of town. They rarely had to bring many monsters to this location as Kousuke’s group did this time.

The adventurer’s expression froze as he shook his head.

That line was filled with the thought of how it was impossible for them to clear three C-rank requests so quickly, no matter how hard they tried.
But Kousuke shook his head and clearly denied his assumptions.
He knew that there was no good in being so reserved here.
“No, I’m not joking. We’ve completed it properly. I’ve just had the receptionist confirm it.”

The adventurer looked relieved when Kousuke said this calmly. He had not said or done anything in particular condescending to Kousuke and the others, and that was one of the reasons he was forgiven.

He accepted the apology because he knew that it was out of concern.

“That will be for some other day. We will be leaving this city and continuing west.”

Kousuke tilted his head at the receptionist who withdrew.
He had expected her to ask him to accept a request to escort others, but she never offered him any, and he wondered why.
The receptionist had her own reasons, of course.
The roads in the Tausen Kingdom were relatively safe, so the escort requests were not high rank requests. She simply did not have the guts to force such a request onto this group.
Overall, after Kouhi and Mitsuki completed their ‘warm-up’, they enjoyed the streets of Sauri and immediately headed to the next town.
