[Black Ink Disciples!] Both Yang Ji and Yang Xu looked at each other. They had obviously forgotten about the key existence of those that had fully gotten corrupted by Black Ink Strength.

Still, from what they knew, those that had turned into Black Ink Disciples were doomed. From what their Father and their tutors had said, Black Ink Disciples could no longer be regarded as the same people as when they were ‘alive’. One could even call them moving corpses.

Naturally, what they had heard most about was their Father’s heroic action to end a Ninth-Order Black Ink Disciple when he was only in the Seventh-Order. Apparently, it was the first one of its kind, and was a testament to the potential of Black Ink Strength.

Mo Na Ye continued, “One thing I know for certain is that for Black Ink Strength, the source is the Master and those beneath are slaves. The Holy One is the one who blessed us, so he is our Master. As for Black Ink Disciples, we are the ones who blessed them so we are the Masters.”

Yang Ji gave a nod, and asked Yang Xu, “Don’t you think it is strange?”

Yang Xu tilted her head, not sure what her Brother was referring to.

“How is it that even after getting corrupted, Black Ink Disciples are still as capable as when they were ‘alive’? Rather than get corrupted, it is more like they get possessed, no?” Yang Ji stated.

Yang Xu nodded and stated something she recalled, “They seem to still possess their mastery of certain Daos. I recall Father saying how some of them could still manage to fix up Arrays at one point.”

Mo Na Ye gave a firm nod as he recalled those times as well. “They were certainly useful. Their potential has certainly been wasted for countless years because my people are too foolish in their approach in handling them.”

Mo Na Ye soon thought back on one issue, “But, it was a problem that you Human’s Purifying Light could turn them back to your side. Granted, they must be Black Ink Disciples that had not broken through their cultivation realm. Else, they would be reduced to dust.”

“If they can have breakthroughs, that must mean they cultivate, right? How do they normally cultivate?” Yang Ji immediately went to the crux of the issue.

“They cultivate inside a Royal Lord Black Ink Nest. That’s the only way they are able to make a breakthrough.” Mo Na Ye recalled what happened in the past and explained.

“Oh?” Yang Ji and Yang Xu both exclaimed, and Yang Ji was the first to ask, “Do you have a Royal Lord Black Ink Nest we could use?”

“Erm…” Mo Na Ye hesitated for a moment and nodded.

“Ah! Then let’s go!” Yang Ji immediately stood up and helped his Sister to get up. He was so confident that he also quickly took down the Array surrounding them.

Sensing how his Sister was still worried with her hand tightly clenching around his, he gave her a comforting pat on the back of her hand.

Mo Na Ye sighed, and ‘led’ the way. He took out the miniature Black Ink Nest again, and the whole platform started to tremble.

Before it started to really move, Mo Na Ye prefaced with this, “You best not destroy anything there, understand.”

Yang Xu was the first to respond, “Of course.”

Though she said that, she was already prepared to do anything if her Brother was in any danger.

Mo Na Ye could feel his heartbeat quicken as he heard those words. It certainly did not sound as reassuring as he had hoped. In fact, it might have been better if he had not asked.

Still, the ride was quick and they reached soon enough.

It was on another side of the mountain, somewhere more tranquil. The flora around this side was more dense, with multiple fields. There were also occasional trees that stood out, making this place ever more serene. In terms of water, a small stream flowed down from the top. In terms of houses, there was a certain lack of them as only a few Black Ink Nests could be seen. However, there was one that stood out from the rest. Or more, like, there was a pair that stood out more than the rest.

This pair of Black Ink Nest were not of equal stature. One was obviously far bigger than the other, and more intricate. Even so, they were placed together so closely that it was unmistakable that this was its intent. Furthermore, the area around was fenced up, showcasing how private those that live here must be.

Still, only those perceptive enough would take note of the undertone of this. Yang Ji was sadly not one of them. Instead, it was his Sister who noticed, and she even had a grin on her face.

Yang Ji just thought that they placed those two Black Ink Nests really close.

Mo Na Ye naturally noticed Yang Xu’s reaction and just kept silent.

The platform got close to the pair of houses and just stopped there.

“Alright, we are here.” Mo Na Ye declared in a softer tone.

“En.” Yang Ji just gave a nod, while Yang Xu giggled a little.

Yang Xu helped Yang Ji fly down, not wanting him to exert too much with the Black Ink Strength still inside his body. As for Yang Ji, though he felt this was unnecessary, he still allowed her to do it. After all, receiving care from those concerned was one way to alleviate those feelings.

Mo Na Ye naturally led them to the bigger Black Ink Nest.

It was only once inside, and once he closed the entrance, that he started speaking. “This is my house. It is a Royal Lord Black Ink Nest. Probably the only one that is usable for you two.”

He was certainly not lying. Though there were other Royal Lords, they certainly would not allow Humans to enter their abode, which could also be considered their lifeline. One was their dislike of the other race, and the other was the risk of Purifying Light being released. Furthermore, these Royal Lords typically had tasks to do and were not that easily contactable.

The twins just gave a nod of acknowledgement to his words, as they busily looked around.

This Black Ink Nest was certainly much bigger than the others. However, it was not that big in Yang Ji and Yang Xu’s eyes. Though, to be fair, they had mostly lived their life in something akin to a palace.

There were multiple rooms inside, with the typical furniture in each room. There was the typical kitchen, living room, bedroom, storeroom, and cultivation room. There were also a few other rooms, which they did not really know the purpose of. However, sensing how uneasy Mo Na Ye was feeling, they did not want to probe too much.

The rooms were all quite neat and tidy, as though someone had specifically set out to clean the place. This gave Yang Ji a good impression of Mo Na Ye, while Yang Xu had other thoughts.

Mo Na Ye, not wanting the kids to overstay their welcome, quickly directed them to the cultivation room. “You can try and cultivate using that room. So, do stop wandering about.”

Yang Ji, the most eager, was the first to rush into the cultivation room. As for Yang Xu, she just followed with their hands tightly clasped together. Though, she did not forget to give Mo Na Ye a thumbs up before closing the cultivation room door.

Mo Na Ye sighed at the sight of them. He wanted to leave them for now, but could not do so since he was tasked to take care of them…
