Chapter 365, One Strike, Instant Kill!
by SilavinTranslator: Silavin
[What kind of nonsense is this? A Level 85 Diamond Grade Boss isn’t a Boss!? What do you mean just this ‘casually brought out Dragon will be about to kill it’?! Just how many Dragons do you have?! How ridiculously powerful is each one!!?]
The three Fourth Profession Players’ worldview was crumbling.
Little did they know that while a Level 85 Diamond Grade Boss was indeed a formidable existence to them, to Lu Fan, it could not even be considered an appetizer.
In Lu Fan’s Puppet Sub-Space alone, he had nine Demon Generals of the same Level. He even had nine Epic Grade Bosses, the Nine Hell Demons, which were all stronger than this Level 85 Diamond Grade Boss. Not to mention, he still had that Level 90 Epic Grade Boss, Divine Bone Clone.
By that measure, a mere Level 85 Epic Grade Boss was barely above cannon fodder to Lu Fan.
Lu Fan had already summoned a Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King, which was more than enough face given to the audience.
Lu Fan had initially planned to ride the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King to fight the Shadow Soul Reaper, kill it, transform it into a Fallen Corpse Puppet and then absorb it. This would be a test of how much Combat Power he could demonstrate while riding a Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King with its current High Attributes.
But just as Lu Fan leaped onto the Dragon, Ye Wuxian smiled gently and said. “Junior Brother, let me handle this Boss. Xiao Cui’s Buff makes me feel so amazing. I want to test myself against this Boss right now.”
Lu Fan was startled and said, “But Senior Sister, your internal injury…”
“It’s been so long, it’s mostly healed up.” Ye Wuxian smiled sweetly at how Lu Fan was concerned about her. She gripped her Heaven Incinerator with force, pulling backward.
Instantly, the chains went taut, and the Boss behind them, clearly no match for Ye Wuxian’s tremendous Strength Attribute, was dragged forward.
A black shadow shot out from the darkness like a cannonball. It was a Boss larger than the Shadow Swordsmen and Shadow Spearmen. Its body was burning with ghostly green flames.
It had intended to use its hooked sickle to drag Lu Fan back, but instead, found itself pulled from the shadows by Ye Wuxian using its own technique against it.
The Shadow Soul Reaper was not that easy to deal with though. The ghostly green flames on its body burned more intensely as it suddenly halted mid-air, pulling the chains taut again, refusing to be dragged closer to Ye Wuxian.
The Shadow Soul Reaper did not have just one hooked sickle. After stopping mid-air, it swung its other hooked sickle and threw it out.
This time, the target was Ye Wuxian who was challenging it.
Seeing this, Andrei hurriedly warned. “Sister-in-law, be careful! This is its Skill, Soul Hook! Many of our men died to this Skill. You absolutely cannot let its sickle hit you. Once you get hit, your Life Force will be drained and your Attributes will plummet, leaving you powerless to resist!”
Ye Wuxian’s lips curved in a faint smile as she said, “This Skill can’t hurt me.”
Although her Heaven Incinerator was entangled by one hooked sickle, temporarily limiting its use, Ye Wuxian was a Battle Priest. Her Profession Characteristics granted her powerful Magic Attack Skills as well.
Holding the spear in her right hand, Ye Wuxian opened her left palm, and three fireballs appeared, rotating constantly above her palm.
These were not the simple Fire Ball Skill which Mages could cast. The fireballs were incredibly dense, covered in intricate patterns. They looked more like red-hot iron balls than fireballs.
With a thought from Ye Wuxian, one fireball shot out with a *whoosh*, colliding precisely with the incoming sickle.
With a thunderous *boom!*, they collided. The fireball shattered, exploding into intense flames that sent the hooked sickle flying.
At this moment, the second fireball also moved, but instead of attacking the Shadow Soul Reaper, it merged with her Heaven Incinerator.
The Heaven Incinerator seemed to have been infused with an accelerant. After the fireball completely fused with the spear’s shaft, it underwent an amazing transformation.
The spear tip suddenly erupted with towering flames that spread downward to envelope the shaft, making it as dazzling as the burning Sun.
Watching this, Lu Fan worried about whether Ye Wuxian might be harmed by her own flames.
Lu Fan’s concern was unnecessary though. How could Ye Wuxian be hurt by her own Skills?
Holding the flame-wrapped Heaven Incinerator, Ye Wuxian’s eyes showed excitement at finding herself so surprisingly powerful.
By now, the flames on Heaven Incinerator had heated the Shadow Soul Reaper’s hooked sickle red-hot, and the chains wrapped around the spear were actually melting.
Ye Wuxian shook her spear once, completely shattering the chains. She then spun her spear in a flourish. After passing through the raging flames, she pointed the tip directly at the Shadow Soul Reaper.
The third fireball also blew up, transforming into roaring flames that fully enveloped both Ye Wuxian and Heaven Incinerator.
At that moment, Ye Wuxian seemed to have transformed into a Dragon of flames. Accompanied by a Dragon Roar, she targeted the Shadow Soul Reaper.
The power of this Skill seemed sufficient to sink a warship in a single strike!
The Shadow Soul Reaper also sensed the danger. The ghostly green flames in its eyes burned intensely as the hooked sickles wrapped around its arms began to extend. It quickly swung them around to form an impenetrable barrier.
This appeared to be a Defensive Skill.
Unfortunately, against Ye Wuxian’s Skill, this Defensive Skill proved completely useless.
Almost instantly, Ye Wuxian shattered the barrier formed by the swinging chains.
Amidst the scattered chain fragments in the air, Ye Wuxian’s flame Dragon passed straight through the Shadow Soul Reaper’s body, impaling it.
After a brief pause, flames burst outward from within the Shadow Soul Reaper’s body, completely enveloping it before it exploded in mid-air.
Ye Wuxian withdrew her flames and landed gracefully, looking up at the Shadow Soul Reaper exploding like fireworks in the sky. Her eyes showed both excitement and surprise.
One strike, instant kill!
Ye Wuxian was very confident in her abilities and knew she could easily handle a Level 85 Diamond Grade Boss.
But to say she could instantly kill such a Boss, even she had thought it to be impossible.
Even for a Boss with relatively weak defense, it was still a Boss. It should have been almost impossible for a Fourth Profession Player to kill it in one strike.
Yet now, enhanced by Xiao Cui’s Skills, her Compat Power had increased dramatically, and she actually did it!
Ye Wuxian knew well that this was not because she was particularly amazing, but rather because Xiao Cui’s Enhancement Skills were too extraordinary.
