Dragon Island—It was an island located in the far east of Planet Elysia. Rumor had it that this island was hidden within a sea of clouds, invisible to Mortals and unknown even to Gods. It was a true Treacherous Territory.
A Treacherous Territory, in a sense, was the equivalent of a Forbidden Zones on Earth. However, while Earth had only witnessed the appearance of such zones within the last few years, Elysia had had them for nearly a hundred years. Despite this long history, certain areas were still referred to as Treacherous Territories.
What did this signify? It signified that these places have withstood the tests of time and nature, yet they still stood at the pinnacle of mystery. Every Treacherous Territory on Elysia was a true ‘no man’s land,’ and in the past century, the number of people who have ventured there and returned alive could be counted on one hand.
On the surface, only a handful of individuals have ever returned from Dragon Island.
Today, there were seven Treacherous Territories on Elysia, one of which was Dragon Island. It was the home of the Apex Predators standing at the top of the food chain — the Giant Dragons.
Other Treacherous Territories included the ‘Forest of Elves,’ the ‘Fortress of Trolls,’ the ‘Sanctuary of Gods,’ and the deepest part of the ‘Forest of Magical Beast’…
None of these had ever been revealed to the outside world, but one thing was certain: each of the seven Treacherous Territories was guarded by the most powerful beings of Elysia.
These territories were not called treacherous due to their hazardous environments alone; rather, they were protected by legendary peak powerhouses!
As a matter of fact, the cultivation levels of Elysia were different from that of Earth.
The Elysians refer to Tier-4 as the ‘Sacred Realm’ and to Tier-4 Transcendents as ‘Saints.’ Saints were Transcendents who had surpassed the Mortal Realm, and could rule an entire nation by the virtue of their strength alone.
Above the Sacred Realm was the Divine Realm, also known as Tier-5, and the Tier-5 Transcendents of this realm were called Gods.
However, to this day, there were no known Gods on Elysia. The strongest experts were only Demigods — Transcendents who were at the threshold of Tier-5, between Tier-4 and Tier-5.
These Demigods had undergone a partial transformation of their Souls and begun constructing their Psychic Realm. In their terms, this was known as ‘building a Divine Kingdom.’
Here in lay the prime difference in cultivation methods between Earth and Elysia became.
Before Tier-4, the denizens of both planets mostly focused on refining their physical bodies. But after reaching Tier-4, the true difference in cultivation appeared.
On Elysia, they prioritized psychic power and aimed to build Psychic Realms, focusing mainly on the cultivation of mind.
On Earth, however, as evidenced by Yu Zi Yu, the pioneer, there was a practice of merging the body and Soul, cultivating both simultaneously. Though this path was difficult, if successful, the resulting power was immeasurable.
This was just the difference between Earth and Elysia’s cultivation methods. As one explored other stars, even more cultivation systems would emerge.
For example, the Titan Clan focused on the body, integrating the Soul into their bodies.
There were some beings who would even abandon their physical bodies entirely to cultivate only their Souls.
There were countless strange and unique methods of cultivation. However, no matter the path, they all led to the same ultimate goal – Hegemony and even Eternity.
Of course, Tier-7 Transcendents on Elysia were not referred to as Hegemons; instead, they were called Prime Gods. At Tier-8, the Eternal Realm, they were referred to as Supreme Gods.
“It seems like Dragon Island has at least two Demigods at the peak of Tier-4, nearly at Tier-5…” As Yu Zi Yu murmured to himself, three figures cloaked in purple light silently sped toward the far east of Elysia.
Looking up, one could vaguely see a purple ball of light surrounding the three figures. The sphere moved so fast that it appeared as a fleeting meteor, disappearing into the night in the blink of an eye.
“Yes, Master.” Latia added with a nod, “The Golden Dragon King alone has already reached the Demigod Realm. He is one of the oldest Demigods on Elysia. Then there’s the Black Dragon King, who has recently become a Demigod and even battled the Elf Queen!”
Calmly recounting what she knew, Latia shared all the details.
“Impressive… No wonder they’re considered the strongest force in this world.” Yu Zi Yu’s lips pursed into a smile in admiration.
[Two Demigods, and that’s just what is known to the public. Who knows if the Red Dragon King, by keeping a low profile, has also quietly achieved the Demigod Realm. Even if he hasn’t, as an older Dragon King, he must be close to it. Considering this, Dragon Island potentially has three peak Tier-4 Demigods, almost at the level of half-step Tier-5s.]
[That’s quite a terrifying number. Right now, there aren’t many Transcendents on Earth who possess the strength of Demigods. And that’s just their combat strength, not the cultivation level. In terms of level, no one on Earth has reached the Demigod Realm. Unlike Elysia, which has developed for nearly a century, Earth has only seen the Resurgence of Spiritual Energy for around a decade or so. Its foundation is still too shallow. There had not been enough time for Earth to accumulate the necessary heritage and foundation.]
[Still, that doesn’t mean that Earth lacked Transcendents with combat strength on par with these Demigods. Nine Tails, who possessed nearly limitless Spiritual Energy, can at least contend with a Demigod. There is Golden Ant as well. If he were to unleash his full power without regard for his own state, he can also fight on par with a Demigod. Additionally, we have Little Tenth. After devouring the Lightning Elemental Flower, he has significantly shortened his growth period and is now a young adult with unfathomable strength.]
[Of course, if they battled, they would have to exhaust their trump cards when up against a Demigod. That could be troublesome…]
*Haaaaa…* Heaving a sigh, a cold glint flashed deep within Yu Zi Yu’s eyes.
[I guess I must personally step in to eliminate these Demigods. Even if this Void Elf Form cannot completely erase them, I must at least severely injure them. Otherwise, Earth’s top experts may lose out once the war with Elysia starts.] With that thought, the killing intent in Yu Zi Yu’s heart grew even more intense.
…
Meanwhile, in the Forest of Elves, one of the Seven Treacherous Territories, deep within the Elf Clan’s territory…
A Towering Tree, so massive it blotted out the sky, stood by a lakeside.
Underneath the tree, a mysterious figure with an ethereal, noble aura and a crown on her head stood quietly.
“Mother, I wonder why you have summoned me,” her voice, as pure and clear as a bubbling spring, resonated in the air, calming all who heard it.
“Child, I have sensed something… I have sensed…The birth of an unprecedentedly powerful Elf… However, this Elf is dangerous and terrifying… If he is not stopped, the world could undergo great upheaval…” A majestic, yet gentle voice, like a spring breeze, echoed in the mind of the Elf Queen, causing her expression to change dramatically.
“An unprecedentedly powerful Elf? How could that be?” Shaken to her core, the Elf Queen—Fredrica Wallen’s beautiful eyes narrowed.
But after a moment, as if realizing something, she nodded slightly and decisively declared, “Mother, I will immediately dispatch the Elf Clan’s Royal Guards to search for this Elf’s whereabouts. At the same time, I will inform the Elders and have them prepare to act at a moment’s notice.”
Having said that, the Elf Queen Fredrica’s figure flickered slightly, and in the blink of an eye, she transformed into a streak of green light, silently disappearing into the depths of the Forest of Elves.
