But of course, Gu Changge were quite optimistic about Hei Ming. Since worthless rascals were known for creating miracles, Hei Ming just might succeed in spreading the Entanglement Immortal Spell. That would make things even more wonderful. Though, it would be best if worthless rascals like Hei Ming never got to meet villains like Gu Changge. Either way, even if Hei Ming failed this unknown mission of his, Gu Changge wouldn’t be affected in any way.
*Whoosh!* With that, he tapped on Hei Ming, who was kneeling before him and a ripple instantly appeared. All of a sudden, everything in front of Hei Ming, who was celebrating in glee, turned dark. As though he was suppressed by cosmic pressure. He was instantly pulled out of the dimension.
The next moment, he found himself back in the room. At a familiar scenery, he turned to his trembling hands, feeling as though he just woke up from a dream. Once that was short-lived but life-changing. He was so thrilled that his wings subconsciously started flapping.
“That was indeed a mysterious ability! I wonder how powerful the Absolute Being is… He probably surpassed the Celestials…” Hei Ming muttered with his shaky voice as he forced himself to calm down. He didn’t even notice the tiny silver gleams waning in his eyes.
“The Absolute Being must have readied the Entanglement Immortal Spell specifically for me, knowing that my cultivation level and Talents are unremarkable. This is a Spell that ignores all Talents! As long as I successfully disseminate the Entanglement part of the Spell to others, I can acquire a portion of their Talent. I can even siphon some of their training results! How wondrous! How overpowered!” Hei Ming’s voice trembled as he opened his eyes wide.
Then, as he began researching the strengths of the Entanglement Immortal Spell, his soul and his entire body started shaking. [This Spell is frightening! If anyone were to know about this, the consequences would be unimaginable!]
Hei Ming believed that only the Absolute Being was able to bequeathed such an overpowered Spell to its followers. He was somewhat terrified as he felt a chill up his spine. Essentially, such a discovery overthrew everything he knew about cultivation.
“If only I had my hands on such a powerful Spell sooner, I wouldn’t have been stuck in the Transcendent Realm for so long…” Very soon, upon taking a deep breath, Hei Ming eventually regained his cool. He swore in his heart not to reveal the existence of the Entanglement Immortal Spell. Fortunately, the Entanglement part of the Spell did not expose the risks of the actual function of the Entanglement Immortal Spell, and Hei Ming was reassured knowing that.
“I’ll have to find a way to test out the Entanglement part of the Spell. To see if there’s anything odd about it. It seems similar to conventional Spells, but its mysteriousness is definitely peculiar.” Sinking in contemplation, Hei Ming tensed his brows as he walked around in the room. Quickly, he put his few followers in his crosshair, intending to test out the Spell’s effect on them.
Meanwhile, Hei Ming wasn’t aware of the vague anomaly behind him, where an enthralled pair of eyes were constantly observing him.
As the air subtly wavered, the eyes swiftly disappeared as Gu Changge left.
As a matter of fact, Gu Changge did something to the ambiguous light he handed to Hei Ming. By his will, he could see everything Hei Ming was witnessing through his eyes anytime he wanted. In fact, Gu Changge always took additional measures in anything that he did. Even if these measures were in no way useful, as long as they do not hinder his plans, he would apply them.
At the same time, Hei Ming excitedly left the room and gathered his followers outside the tavern to prepare to return to the Black Hawk Family. In fact, his main target was his sister, Hei Yanyu, whom he was overly ambitious to conquer.
After all, his sister possessed Talents that were widely recognized to be extremely formidable and even unrivalled among the Five Greatest Celestial Ancient Races. Though she bore an exceptional bloodline, she did not possess the distinctive physical features of the Black Hawk Family. Regardless, among the countless Celestial Ancient Races, she was considered to be one of the top young prodigies, and as of now, she had already achieved Intermediate Partial-Enlightened Realm.
“If the functions of the Entanglement Immortal Spell is truly that powerful, I could try teaching it to Yanyu. There’s no harm done anyway…”
Right now, Hei Ming no longer remained hostile towards his sister. Having lived his entire life in her shadow, he certainly hated being known as a worthless rascal in the beginning. He did not even want to acknowledge that he was the brother of the mighty Hei Yanyu. To him, their relationship was not something he found honourable nor joyful. Rather, he could only feel a great sense of humiliation.
Nonetheless, now that he possessed the Entanglement Immortal Spell, he was self-assured that he would very soon surpass Hei Yanyu. After all, there was an Absolute Being behind him, and he was the loyal believer of that Absolute Being.
[Speak his name and live an eternal life…] Recalling those words, Hei Ming immediately grew excited.
…
Some time later, Gu Changge temporarily put his plans for the Black Hawk Family on hold. Now that he had planted a seed for it, his arrangements were pretty much complete. There was no haste. Thus, all he had to do now was live a honest, unflashy life and refrain from participating in any conspicuous events, all while waiting for the seed to grow into a fruitful tree.
Of course, he wasn’t completely carefree as he was now pondering how to deal with Ye Ling. Compared to Hei Ming, who was the key to his personally created plan, he was more interested in what Ye Ling, the Fortuitous One, was about to do.
Though, before that, he would have to look for an opportunity to cause some trouble, or the arrangements he had planned for Chi Ling, the Successor of the Vermillion Bird Clan, would go to waste. As for the approach, it would be by ruining their relationship.
After all, one’s heart was the most vulnerable. And Gu Changge, being the master of manipulation, couldn’t be more familiar with such methods. It was as Yue Mingkong had said, even holy water couldn’t cleanse the impurities within Gu Changge. Likewise, Ye Ling was only drawing disaster upon himself by going up against Gu Changge.
“Now, now. It’s time for another accident, dear Ye Ling. It’s probably time for Yin Mei to shine as well.” Gu Changge squinted his eyes.
*Whoosh!* With a lift of his finger, he instantaneously disappeared as he headed to the other regions.
The ruined site was rather vast. Apart from the ancient cities that were at the centre, the complementing areas were filled with mountains and abandoned land, as well as collapsed mountains and lakes.
Since no one knew where the Ancient Reincarnation Supreme Being hid his cave, Gu Changge had no intentions to look for it, nor could he spare the effort to.
Therefore, he decided to take the time to rob more gravesites. His top priority was to break through to the Sacred Realm as soon as possible. Thus, he began scouring the land, and apparently, there were numerous burial caves hidden within the valleys.
Essentially, it was once a gathering spot that existed since ancient times, and the number of epochs it had gone through was astonishing. The bodies of the cultivators that once dwelled here possessed terrifying might. Some had ascended to the Sacred King Realm. Although those in the Sacred King Realm and those in the Sacred Emperor Realm were considered as special beings that are classified as Sacred Monarchy, the difference in the two cultivation levels still remained significant. Those in the Sacred King Realm would need to climb Nine Minor Realms to reach the Sacred Emperor Realm.
Unlike other Realms that were further divided into stages comprising Early, Intermediate, Advanced, and Peak, the Sacred King Realm was divided into Nine Minor Realms. Once they completely overcame the Nine Minor Realms, they would then promote to the Sacred Emperor Realm. By then, they would ultimately become beings that could destroy the universe with their mere will while living as an almighty being.
For instance, the body of the Ancient Sky Sacred King, which was pierced through by the Eight Barren Demon Halberd. It had already disintegrated and had lost its godly essence. Even if Gu Changge wanted to absorb its essence, he wouldn’t be able to reap a lot out of it. Besides, the corpses of those in the Sacred King Realm and above were highly likely to have unfathomable oddities growing out of them. It was not strange if they grew red hair after they passed on.
…
While Gu Changge and Ye Ling were occupied with their own matters at the ruined site, the centre of the Celestial Ancient Continent wasn’t exactly peaceful. Young cultivators from the outside world were continuously barging in, which caused great turmoil.
One of the Lost Clans, the True Dragon Clan, or the self-proclaimed Royal Race, was in control of numerous Celestial Ancient Races. Despite their name, they weren’t exactly heirs of True Dragons as they possessed only a portion of True Dragon’s blood. Nonetheless, that was also the reason they had become the most dominant force in the Celestial Ancient Continent, and only a handful of other races could rival them.
All of a sudden, an explosion could be heard. It came from the mountains in an isolated mountainous area. The force was daunting as godly light could be seen. Unfortunately, the explosion that came out of nowhere took innumerable wandering passersby, including people and wild creatures, by surprise and they were turned into bloody, ground flesh.
An extraordinarily dashing yet immensely intimidating young individual donning a green robe could be seen walking out of the explosion. In that instant, he seemed to be walking in the air. The scenery behind him was awfully terrorizing as though it was a demonstration of the end of the world. At the same time, a golden, surreal silhouette of a dragon was seen flying in the sky toward the vast land.
He was in his True Dragon form, and his eyes, resembling plummeting meteors that could bring the world to ruin, were no less petrifying. On his forehead were two glistening horns. He was covered in green scales; his aura alone was terrifying enough to shatter the sky. The sight of him instilled fear in those that saw him.
“Congratulations, Sir!” At that moment, countless beings came to the young individual as they respectfully congratulated. Regardless of their gender, they all possessed a dense, ancient aura.
The females there had some that were in the Early and Intermediate Partial-Enlightened Realm, and even the weakest among them were at least in the Honoured King Realm. More importantly, all of them were blessed with impeccable, alluring appearances, as though a smile could charm a man to death.
“At ease,” Long Teng calmly stated. His behaviour seemed to be contrary to the rumours. However, those acquainted with him were fully aware that his calmness was, in actuality, a showcase of his absolute confidence. In fact, he hadn’t the slightest respect for any being in the world, thinking that none could triumph over him.
After all, not just anyone could acquire the title of the Avatar of the True Dragon. Long Teng’s strength and Talents were enough to prove the validity of his title. As a matter of fact, his cultivation level alone was enough to bring him to the top of the world, where none could rival him. He even possessed the Seven-Colored True Dragon Blood, and other potent Spells and Talents.
Ever since he was born, let alone being defeated, he couldn’t even find a befitting rival. Thus, many elders of the True Dragon Clan suspected that Long Teng was the reincarnation of the True Dragon. Nonetheless, later, they discovered that other than Long Teng’s extraordinarily superb strength and Talents, there wasn’t much difference between him and the rest of the young prodigies in the clan.
Regardless, as of now, the number of prodigal damsels Long Teng was eyeing, had grown uncountable.
“How is my order coming along?” Long Teng asked as he was leading his followers out of the area. Undefeated, he now had no remarkable pastimes, except for one, looking for stunning prodigal damsels. Upon hearing that the Celestial Ancient Continent was to be opened to the outside world, whereby countless foreign young prodigies would be visiting the continent, Long Teng immediately passed on his instructions to scour for those stunning prodigal damsels. Although the prodigal damsels of this continent weren’t exactly inferior, he did not want to miss out on the foreign ones.
“Sir, we have captured many foreign prodigal damsels as per your order.” Hearing that, his followers answered as one of them revealed a talisman in her palm. As the talisman gleamed, the pretty faces of prodigal damsels appeared on it.
Long Teng casually took a look with a calm, indifferent expression, as if he was a king selecting his concubines.
Naturally, Long Teng was confident. Essentially, given the strength of his followers, subduing the young prodigies from the outside world wouldn’t be an issue.
Although the Celestial Ancient Continent was sealed to the outside world, it wasn’t the first time it has opened. Every time the continent opened, cultivators from the outside world who entered would always be significantly weaker than cultivators from the continent.
After all, the difference in the atmosphere was cosmic, and the Celestial Ancient Continent had its name because actual celestials had lived on this continent. Back then, the order of the world allowed cultivators to concentrate on their training. Even now, this order of the world was finely retained, making this place easier to cultivate than the outside world. Of course, there were also several other factors that caused the younger cultivators of the outside world to achieve less fruitful results than the ones in the continent. Otherwise, just by numbers alone, they could easily take down the young generation in the continent.
“Sir, I present to you the most elegant of all prodigal damsels. Her beauty is truly one in a million!” At that moment, a woman with a gratifying smile approached Long Teng. Incidentally, the woman’s name was Long Nu. She was the one who fought Yue Mingkong and ultimately decided to retreat. However, she did not forget to capture the scenario, wherein Yue Mingkong’s face could be seen, shown on a photographic stone.
Hearing that, Long Teng visibly grew fascinated as he blandly replied, “Show me.”
*Whoosh!* Long Nu grew even more ingratiating as the jade talisman on her hand lit up.
As those in the surrounding had their interest pique, they stood closer, curious as to why Long Nu was so excited. Soon, pictures surged above the jade talisman, in which a daunting woman appeared. Although they could hardly see her face, her beauty remained untainted. Her garment swayed along with the winds and her elegance was unparalleled.
Instantly, everyone grew silent while Long Teng’s breathing grew rapid as shock surged in his eyes.
“What a beautiful woman? Who is she? Where is she now?” Long Teng immediately asked as he revealed a beaming smile.
Followingly, the ingratiation on her face turned into a look of accomplishment.
“Sir, she goes by the name Yue Mingkong, and she possesses the might of an emperor. She is the future successor of Unrivaled Celestial Destiny from the outside world. However, she has a fiance who comes from the Immortal Gu Family, who is also the Successor of Skyward Schloss. He is by no means ordinary. Many refer to him as the Avatar of a True Immortal, given that his strength is immeasurable.”
For the sake of getting more credit, she looked into Yue Mingkong’s origin. In fact, all she needed to do was to interrogate the captured young prodigies from the outside world to find out more about Yue Mingkong. Even so, the information provided was still somehow limited.
“Splendid, splendid! To think there’s such a woman living in this world. Things are going to get interesting!” Upon saying those words, Long Teng’s eyes twinkled as his heart was filled with joy. Given his strength, he rarely had any opportunity to show off his abilities. Now that opportunity had presented itself, it was time that he took things into his own hands.
[So she has a ‘frightening’ fiance, huh? As if that’s an issue for me! If he dares to stand in my way, I’ll squash him like a fly! No matter who he is in the outside world, once he comes to the Celestial Ancient Continent, he should know his place, or death shall come for him!] Long Teng mocked in his heart, rather unconcerned about this fiance.
Afterwards, he led his followers as they paraded towards the regions where young prodigies of the outside world were gathered.
Now, every region of the continent was in turmoil.
