Listening to the complacent jabbering of the teenagers, Lin Tian was obviously disconcerted. [Prime Ancestor of the Lin Family? Young master? What in the Overworld are they on about?]
In his mind, every being in Sky Blue Realm were children who loved playing house, and even the most powerful in the Overworld was at most in the Partial-Enlightented Realm, whom he, the God King of the Sky, could squash with just a tap of a finger. Thus, he bore not the slightest interest in such trivial matters.
“Welcome the Prime Ancestor? I can’t be bothered. Why don’t the two of you sod off?”
“You…” Stunned, the teenagers were angered. [Lin Tian never spoke to us that way. What struck his nerve lately? He’s so weird!]
As the male teenager was about to engage Lin Tian to teach him a lesson, he was stopped by the female teenager. “The Prime Ancestor’s return from the Beyond is such a grand occasion, and he decided not to show up. I reckon he’s giving up his identity as a member of the Lin Family. It’s best we stay out of this, otherwise if this gets to the leader, he’ll be sure to rebuke us.”
As she was speaking, she dragged the male teenager away without even bothering to worry about Lin Tian’s sudden shocked face.
[From the Beyond?] Lin Tian was startled by the message. Initially, he hadn’t the intention to attend the welcoming ceremony, but hearing that the Beyond was involved, he was instantly enthralled.
[Well, can’t hurt giving it a look. I do want to see this Prime Ancestor for myself.] Thinking that, Lin Tian collected his emotions and silently followed after the teenagers.
Seeing that, the teenagers let out a snicker. [Doesn’t seem so tough now, huh. Guess he’s still scared of the leader.]
“Huh. And here I thought he’s really that bold. It seems he’s just a scaredy cat that cares so much. Guess he’s really nothing without the family, huh.”
Overhearing the conversation in front of him, Lin Tian was visibly annoyed as malice surged in his eyes, but luckily, he suppressed his killer instinct. Knowing that he still needed his identity as a disciple of the Lin Family, he couldn’t afford to reveal his true identity just yet.
Little did the teenagers know, they were just at the doorstep of death. Although Lin Tian’s power level wasn’t exactly high, with the experience from his previous life, he could effortlessly slaughter the two before him.
…
Meanwhile, many daunting figures stood in the grand hall of the Lin Family Mansion, filling the room with an overbearing aura as heavenly glows gracefully intertwined. It was clear how deep the background of ancient families were.
On the other hand, waiting outside of the hall were numerous members of the Lin Family. The majority of them were teenagers, emitting godly glows and appearing zestfully spirited as the Lin Family’s primary prodigies of their generation who were prestigious in the Middle State. In that instant, they were curiously, excitedly staring into the grand hall, not daring to make a sound.
After all, everyone in the grand hall was the most influential, most respected individuals of their respective families. Even the Supreme Elder, who had been locking himself up for thousands of years, too came personally to see the Prime Ancestor.
[However, who is that young man dressed in black sipping his tea on the primary seat? Even his female servant is so striking as if she was the God of Beauty herself! Besides, even the Prime Ancestor, who ascended to the Beyond, is looking at him with so much respect!] Everyone was absolutely baffled by—unable to imagine—the identity of the young man.
“Don’t worry about me, Ming Lao. You may tend to your successors.” Sitting on the primary seat, he leisurely smiled, fascinated by such a situation.
Though, he wasn’t deliberately pretending to be cool. Earlier, when he had yet to alight the flying ship, he was respectfully received by a group of elderlies, who claimed to be successors of the Lin Family, upon his arrival at the Lin Family’s territory. With that, he was reverently welcomed to the Lin Residence. Without any specific interest, assuming it to be a casual visit, Gu Changge did not reject their invitation.
Ming Lao clarified that, due to bloodline resonance, his successors were able to sense that he was returning to the Middle State, and thus they came to receive him. Although his conveyance of the explanation was rather innocent, upon such an imposing reception, he couldn’t help but feel gratified as his ego was elevated, especially in Gu Changge’s presence.
Essentially, after coming to the Middle State, he wouldn’t want to leave Gu Changge in an isolated spot. After all, it was his Destiny to be able to accompany him for his training in the Overworld. If it were in the Beyond, given his position in the Gu Family, he wasn’t even allowed to get near to Gu Changge, let alone offer his assistance to him.
“Prince Gu, despite what you said, there’s no way this old one can put you aside.” Hearing that, Ming Lao bitterly expressed. Of course, he knew that Gu Changge wouldn’t blame him for his lighthearted tone.
After seeing that his successors were living a good life and even became one of the greatest ancient families in the Middle State, Ming Lao felt reassured and delighted. He was unusually more confident given that he wouldn’t even dare to jest with Gu Changge at normal times.
[‘This old one?’ Our Prime Ancestor refers to himself as ‘this old one?’] Overhearing their conversation, everyone in the grand hall was dumbfounded as they peered at their Prime Ancestor and the young master, gasping in their hearts. The young ones at the door were even more stupefied.
“It’s no issue.” Gu Changge casually beamed, naturally unaffected by such insignificant matter. Since the purpose of the event was for reminiscence between the Prime Ancestor and his successors, there was no point for Gu Changge to tarry.
“Qingge, let’s take a walk.” Saying that, Gu Changge put down his cup and got up from his seat. His facial expression was calm and benign, as if he bore no ulterior motive. He was genuinely amicable.
Nonetheless, the crowd was clear that Gu Changge was only holding back his pride. His amiable expression was nothing but a courteous gesture. Or rather, a sign of respect for Ming Lao.
“Qiuhan, you’re familiar with the area. Why don’t you be a tour guide to the young master?” Seeing that, the leader of the Lin Family suddenly gave his daughter an instruction.
Consequently, Ming Lao gave him a look of approval, acknowledging the tactfulness of his successor.
“U-understood, Father,” Lin Qiuhan hastily replied with her shaky voice that came from her anxiousness.
Gu Changge, on the other hand, wasn’t at all concerned as he went with the flow upon those words. In fact, his eyes even shone.
[Elegant in her gray dress, subtle make-up, snowy skin and her silky hair; her glamorous body under her somewhat loose garment. Oh, don’t even get me started on the curves! But most importantly, her Fortuity is that high!?]
“Qiuhan…” In the doorway of the grand hall, Lin Tian, who just arrived, was dazed by what he saw. Clenching his fists, he grew emotional.
