After receiving information regarding Su Qingge, Gu Changge sank into contemplation.
“Prince, this old one is baffled.” Ming Lao, on the other hand, was visibly bewildered. Judging by Gu Changge’s personality, every arrangement by him was all made with assiduous consideration and without the slightest doubt. Nevertheless, Ming Lao couldn’t fathom why the prince would personally suppress Ye Chen’s aura. Thus, his inquiry was voiced with reason.
After traveling into the current world, Gu Changge, thanks to the previous host’s memory, already thought up an excuse. At that moment, his face remained calm as he serenely stated, “Ye Chen possesses a great deal of luck, which I can meet my Destiny with.” The statement was in no way false. After all, he needed to siphon Ye Chen’s Fortuity, and the Fortuitous One must also possess abundant Destiny, which Gu Changge, too, naturally had to seize. Thinking of that, the prince slightly shook his head.
“Sensible, indeed.” Ming Lao nodded his head in realization. Gu Changge, having been titled as Gifted One since was a child, could perceive many things that his elders couldn’t, and that was why Ming Lao wasn’t at all skeptical of his words. After all, the prince’s ultimate goal of descending from the Beyond—although said to be for his training—was to search for his Destiny.
Later, Gu Changge, as if he remembered something, gave an instruction. “Go to the prison and observe Ye Chen’s every move. Do not get yourself involved no matter what happens.” Having grasped how to decrease Ye Chen’s Fortuity, he realized one way to do it was by defeating him, and the other way was by stripping his Destiny away. At the end of the day, even the Gods were to refrain from interfering with some things such as fate. A perfect instance would be how the bond between Su Qingge the female protagonist and Ye Chen had significantly waned.
“Yes, Prince,” Ming Lao replied before slowly fading into the winds.
[Diminishing Ye Chen’s Fortuity through Su Qingge isn’t such a bad idea. Even back in the palace, just by leveraging the lady had disrupted his mind so much, so destroying their relationship clearly works. Plus, I can also do the same with the female protagonist after I discover her weaknesses. There’s at least three hundred Fortuity within her. How scrumptious!] Having thought of that, Gu Changge shook his head as he revealed an inexplicable look, obviously getting used to his current identity.
Shortly after, he summoned his system and a virtual interface appeared before him.
<User: Gu Changge
Identity: Direct Disciple of Skyward Schloss
Bloodline: Demonic Heart, Daoist Bone
Level: Peak Honoured Noble Realm
Spells: Skyward Ascension, Demonization, Nommening…
Fatums: 550
Fortuity: 30 (Onyx)
System Shop: Unlocked at 1000 Fatums
Storage: Beginner’s Gift*1 (Awaiting Retrieval)>
[Beginner’s gift?] All of a sudden, Gu Changge was dazed, realizing that he had forgotten something. He hadn’t noticed the storage function until that very moment.
<Retrieve Beginner’s Gift?> The system indicated.
In response, he snickered. [Guess leaving it hanging isn’t a choice now, is it? Retrieve!]
*Whoosh!* At his will, a golden gleam instantly occurred as a glowing chest popped up, glaringly radiating and slowly opening before his eyes. “Congratulations, User! You are most fortunate! Gained Domain Shattering Rune*1, Five-Hue Magic Robe*1, One-third Fragment of the World Seed*1.” The system’s notification rang in his ear.
Fascinated was Gu Changge when he discovered that the system’s gift resembled a gacha game in its luck-dependentness. Although he was carrying Misfortune with him, it seemed to have no effect on the system. Furthermore, the three gifts he obtained seemed to be pretty useful as well.
Firstly, the Domain Shattering Rune. As its name suggested, it could tear down the barrier between two domains, allowing the user to travel between them. Secondly, the Five-Hue Magic Robe was a defensive magic tool. Upon reading its introduction, Gu Changge found it to be extremely handy as it could deflect one fully charged attack from an assaulter of Partial-Enlightented Realm.
Physique Realm, Spiritual Sea Realm, Spiritual Palace Realm, Transcendent Realm, Mighty-Transcendent Realm, Honoured Noble Realm, Honoured Lord Realm, Honoured King Realm, and Partial-Enlightented Realm—terms of Realm levels he was more than familiar with. There were realms above Partial-Enlightented Realm, but those were of an entirely different territory, and there was no telling in what ways people of those Realms could disintegrate the world.
Swiftly, Gu Changge equipped the Five-Hue Magic Robe. From the outside, it was a cerulean shirt fabricated with unknown materials, as if it was a garment of a higher being with how it was also emitting glorious beams. Other than its extraordinary exterior, nothing else was notable. With that, he noticed the Fragment of the World Seed before reading about its information. “A complete World Seed, upon refinement, can cultivate an internal world within it with unstoppable growth until its expiry.”
[Interesting. A world within the seed? It might as well be labeled an Artifact!] Gu Changge’s eyes glistened with amazement. There he was wondering where he could go into hiding were trouble ail him, and there was no place more fitting than an internal world. After all, there was no guarantee that his life would be free of hardship. Alas, he had only a third of the World Seed.
[Oh, well. To hell with that. Now, shall I increase my power level? Essentially, no force in the world is mightier than true strength, so none shall be in my way to achieve power! Siri, enhance—no, I mean, System, enhance my power level. Can’t call it cheating if I gained those Fatums through hard work, right?]

There’s always a different vibe if the MC’S a villian
I’m so confused on this novel. There’s no back story what so ever, we’re just thrown in that this random guy was thrown in a body. With no explanation of who he is, was, previous power level, anything. Like I don’t get it.
In most isekais it does not really matter where the MC comes from or what he was before he entered the fantasy world. Like, would it make any difference for you if he was some random otaku in the real world who was put here by some goddess who played a trick on him by making him the villain, or some other generic background info? ^^
Meanwhile Alexa: Pouting in the corner.
