There were no records of the Primordial Mythical Era even in the most ancient of records. It could even be said to date back to the dawn of existence.
It was a time that existed countless epochs before the Forbidden Epoch, as if an unidentifiable barrier separated it.
The Proud Immortal King, Ao Di, would not have known about such an ancient era if Ao Ling, the young woman before him, had not told him about it.
This young woman had been sealed up since that time, surviving all this while. It was only recently that she reawakened in the deepest section of the Ao Family’s Forbidden Area.
In terms of seniority, it was perfectly acceptable for Ao Di to refer to her as Young Ancestor. In fact, it was an honour for him. After all, Ao Ling was the child of the Dragon Ancestor.
The Dragon Ancestor was also known as the Ancestor of All Dragons. While the Ao Family had a trace of that bloodline, they were not considered a pure Dragon Race.
Even the Prime Ancestor of the Ao Family would have to address Ao Ling respectfully as their Ancestor. Therefore, even though Ao Di was a mighty Immortal King, he was nothing but respectful towards Ao Ling. He stayed right by her side at all times to keep her safe.
Of course, in the eyes of others, he was simply doting on a descendant he highly regarded. After all, even the other members of the Family were unaware of Ao Ling’s true identity.
“Since you are acquainted with him, Young Ancestor, I need not worry about anything,” the Proud Immortal King Ao Di said respectfully.
Although Ao Ling seemed like a helpless young woman, her true power was beyond comprehension. Her body was filled with a terrifying power that almost brought him to his knees when he first witnessed it. Furthermore, based on what Ao Ling had shared with him of late, many living beings from the Primordial Mythical Era would be returning soon.
The present chaos in the Immortal Domain was incomparable to what was to come in the future.
There were Absolute Beings beyond this world who were keeping an eye on everything and awaiting the right opportunity to descend upon them.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him. So much time has passed, and yet, I am able to meet someone from the past even in this era…” Ao Ling shook her head lightly before dusting her hands and heading deeper into the Immortal Bamboo Forest.
Mist swirled around the pavilions where guests were seated in waiting. However, the deepest part of it, a platform, was still shrouded in hazy light, with Chaos Mist that kept everything hidden.
Queen Lunar had arranged for her servants to serve refreshments to the guests. If one were to ignore the tension in the air, one might think this was a Dao Conference back in the Celestial Ancient Times.
Acquaintances who had not met for years were busy exchanging pleasantries. Many True Immortals seemed a little emotional.
“Who would’ve thought there would come a day when even the mighty Immortal Kings would face a reckoning. Meanwhile, we are the ones who have a greater chance of surviving this upheaval.”
“After seeing the strange scene yesterday, I searched through the ancient texts and found that it is possibly related to the distant Boundless Expanse. Sometime in the near future, something major might be taking place here in the Immortal Domain.”
Everyone was chatting among themselves when they saw the Proud Immortal King leading Ao Ling over. Their faces changed and they immediately clammed up.
Many were curious. They thought that the Proud Immortal King was showing quite a lot of favour to this descendant of his. He was even allowing her to stay by his side at all times.
A sea of cultivators were sitting cross-legged on all the various mountain peaks. They were all prominent in their own right, some even being the Heads of their Families.
Those more established were seated nearer to the front and nearest to the platform.
As for the Proud Immortal King, he had his own personal pavilion. He and the rest of the Ao Family representatives had gathered there.
Up till now, the guests had not seen any sign of Queen Lunar yet. Yet, more and more streaks of light descended outside the residence as the major figures from all the Immortal Domains arrived.
One of them was the Mysterious Ancient Immortal King, a veteran Immortal King from the Eastern Immortal Domain and an old acquaintance of the Proud Immortal King.
He brought two of his disciples with him, a man and a woman. They were both True Immortals, and one of them was on the verge of becoming a Quasi-Immortal King. Given enough time, the man could very well become an Immortal King someday.
On the surface, the Eastern Immortal Domain did not have that many Immortal Kings. The Proud Immortal King and the Mysterious Ancient Immortal King who were here today were almost all of the Eastern Immortal Domain’s might.
Soon after that, the Immortal Kings from the Northern Immortal Domain arrived as well. There were three of them. One was an elderly man with white hair and a beard who was known as the Withered Yin Immortal King.
Another was an Immortal King with a head of red hair known as the Crimson Immortal King, while the last was known as the Chu Kun Immortal King.
The three had brought many with them from the Northern Immortal Domain, including True Immortals and numerous True Daoists, but none of the youngest generation.
“Is Queen Lunar not here yet?”
“When is she coming?” the Mysterious Ancient Immortal King from the Eastern Immortal Domain asked politely, showing courtesy to the servants of Queen Luna Residence.
“Her Majesty Queen Lunar only instructed us to prepare the celestial banquet. We do not know when she will make an appearance,” the servant answered respectfully.
She was nervous and sweating profusely under the gazes of the many Immortal Kings before her.
Upon hearing this, the Immortal Kings withdrew their gaze and made no further comment as they continued to wait patiently. Some began to sip at their cups of tea, while some meditated in silence, and some engaged in conversation.
They were not here to see Queen Lunar. They simply wanted to gauge the likelihood of blood being shed during this banquet.
Naturally, they had come fully prepared for the possibility of not leaving this place alive. They had already made all the necessary arrangements for their families.
Soon, an ancient Immortal King from a Forbidden Area somewhere in the Eastern Immortal Domain arrived. Everyone was shocked as they did not think there was a being alive in that Forbidden Area.
The Proud Immortal King and the Mysterious Ancient Immortal King were the most stunned. They had never detected any sign of vitality from that Forbidden Area, so much so that they thought it was completely desolated.
“Since it’s an order from him, how could I possibly not attend?” The old Immortal King from the Forbidden Area was giving off an aura of great decline. He was unlike the other Immortal Kings who were at the peak of their cultivation.
His lips curved into a smile and his voice sounded aged, like the crackling leaves of a dried-up tree. “Does the Central Immortal Domain not intend to abide by the command?”
As time went on, there was no sign of anyone from the Central Immortal Domain. The Immortal Kings could not help but mutter in speculation. Some of them were sporting profound gazes with flashes of light, while others sat quietly.
Some even deduced another possibility. Previously, the Other Domain had brought a decree of some kind over to the Central Immortal Domain, and the two parties seemed to be discussing some a strategy.
“Could it be that the Other Domain intends to join forces with the Central Immortal Domain?” One of the Immortal Kings could not resist speculating.
Rumble All of a sudden, a blurry silhouette appeared on the distant edge of the universe, peering down from above with a domineering aura.
The world shook in response, and creatures everywhere cried out in anguish.
Countless living beings prostrated on the ground and bowed in that direction. Even True Immortals were shaken.
“Is that an Immortal King? No, the aura doesn’t seem right…” The Immortal Kings in Queen Luna Residence immediately looked over. Some of them frowned in heightened wariness and disbelief.
“Could it be that someone has the gall to strike out at a time like this? How audacious.” The Proud Immortal King narrowed his eyes and stood up to stare into the distance.
Beside him, Ao Ling had a look of interest and surprise as she remarked, “That’s not the True Body of an Immortal King. It’s a Dharma Body of Faith, formed at a great cost.”
Though it was not difficult to form a Dharma Body of Faith, it was difficult for a Dharma Body to possess the impeccable battle prowess of an Immortal King.
Yet, the silhouette in the distance was clearly mightier than most Immortal Kings.
Unfortunately, the aura was too chaotic for them to discern who its owner was.
The abrupt situation shocked all the guests inside Queen Luna Residence. They could hardly believe their eyes. Those weaker could not help but fall on their knees and bow in that direction. They could not bear the domineering pressure exerted by an Immortal King.
“It seems to be formed by some kind of mysterious Forbidden Artifact. There’s more than one Immortal King behind it…” Ao Ling commented.
Rumble
Over in that region, another hazy silhouette emerged.
This figure soon stood tall and filled the area. It was another Dharma Body that stood proudly above the universe, looking down on everything else.
Then, a horrifying aura reverberated across that region as an Immortal Light ripped the universe apart. It was as if an Absolute Being had opened his eyes revealing his icy gaze.
A world-shattering aura spread out across the world. All at once, all the Star Territories quivered.
