In a particular Star Territory, numerous terrifying figures stood tall as their threatening auras emanated across the universe. They were the Immortal Kings of the Central Immortal Domain.

They were leading their Families over to the Southern Immortal Domain to attend the banquet but had to come to an abrupt stop when the strange fog that abruptly swept across the Star Territory preventing them from carrying on their journey.

Even the Immortal Kings could not do anything about it. They tried their best to deduce way out from the Heavenly Secrets, but they could not find out anything.

One Immortal King tried to use his Divine Abilities to disperse the fog but the fog only thickened instead. It kept billowing over, drowning everyone in its midst.

Worried that something bad might happen, the Immortal King had no choice but to stop and think of some other means of freeing them.

To their relief, the fog did not last for very long. Soon, it cleared up and the world was bright again. They could even see the Star Territories in the distance.

“It doesn’t seem like we stumbled into some kind of relic or ruins. I suspect that someone had set some kind of array up…” One of the Immortal Kings shared his suspicion. His brows furrowed tightly as he sensed that something was amiss.

“I have the same feeling. There would’ve been fluctuations in the space if it had been a relic of some sort. The fog scattered fairly quickly too. I suspect that it was some kind of illusionary array from ancient times.” Another Immortal King spoke up too. His eyes were deep and unreadable with scenes flashing within them.

There were seven Immortal Kings in total. They were a gathering of the most powerful people in the Central Immortal Domains.

Apart from them, there were numerous other True Immortals. When combined together, they could even conquer any of the other Immortal Domain region.

The elderly female Immortal King from the Wang Family shook her head and said, “Time is of the essence. We should head over to the Southern Immortal Domain first. We can’t afford any more delays.”

A massive figure dressed in golden armour descended from the void. He stood with the Immortal Kings from the Wang Family and frowned. “For some reason, I feel uneasy. It is as if someone is plotting against me.”

“If you feel that way, Brother Luo, I am sure there’s a valid reason. We have to be extremely cautious as we head over to attend this possibly treacherous banquet.” Startled at first, the other Immortal King from the Wang Family soon responded. He had a fairly good relationship with King Luo, the silhouette dressed in golden armour.

In fact, he was keen on establishing a marriage alliance with King Luo’s Family by having Luo Xuan, a descendant of King Luo, marry Wang Zijin.

However, King Luo did not bring that descendant of his along. He was clearly worried about something bad happening during this trip. Not wanting the family’s legacy to die off, he specifically evacuated many of his Family members to ensure their survival.

Apart from Wang Zijin, not many of the other younger ones from the Wang Family came along either. They had gone into hiding in some Small Universe.

“Few things in this world can cause me to feel this uneasy,” King Luo said. His brows remained tightly knitted. When he tried to deduce the situation, all he could see was an endless stretch of fog and haze.

An Immortal King like him could even traverse the River of Time. Yet, he could not deduce what was causing him to feel uneasy. It was hard to even get a glimpse or two.

The past, the present, and the future were all shrouded in fog.

Soon, the Immortal Kings and their Families carried on their journey towards the Southern Immortal Domain. They were hundreds of millions of kilometres away and separated by countless universes, including chaotic turbulences and void storms.

Even Immortal Kings who could cut through universes had to be careful on this journey.

The dangers to be found in the perilous areas along the way could even spell the demise of an Immortal King.

These perilous areas existed since ancient times and had never disappeared regardless of the calamities that befell the Immortal Domain.

The Immortal Kings and their descendants rushed towards the Southern Immortal Domain. However, before they came near the Southern Immortal Domain, the Immortal Kings froze as they sensed the remnants of terrifying shockwaves.

They had to be left in the aftermath of a battle between Immortal Kings. The fluctuations had not completely dispersed yet.

The surrounding universes were all in shambles and some of the Star Territories had been destroyed. Signs of destruction could be seen everywhere.

“What happened here?”

“Several Immortal Kings must have fought here…” A veteran Immortal King of the Central Immortal Domain gravely replied. His gaze grew profound. They had not even arrived in the Southern Immortal Domain yet and they were already greeted by this sight. It was indeed rather frightening.

Many even began to suspect that Immortal Kings had to have been hunted down and killed. Such terrifying traces would not have been left here otherwise.

“This trip is likely to end in disaster. Once we reach the Southern Immortal Domain, you must all be extremely careful and watch your tongue.” Several of the Immortal Kings began to warn their descendants with grave expressions and heavy hearts.

“Things will be very dangerous, Zijin. Why don’t you go back to the Family?” The elderly female Immortal King from the Wang Family spoke up as well. She wanted to get Wang Zijin to leave.

The terrifying traces left in this place frightened her too. She began to feel uneasy.

At least four or five Immortal Kings must have appeared, but their auras had dimmed. Naturally, everyone could guess what happened.

Wang Zijin stood there in her flawless white robes, looking like an ethereal deity. She shook her head and said, “It’s fine. We’ve already come this far.”

The region they were in was completely in shambles. World Principles had blown apart and many places had been reduced to nothing. It would take tens of millions of years for any kind of vitality to return.

“The Immortal Kings from the Central Immortal Domain? You still have the nerve to come over?”

Just when the Immortal Kings were about to pass through the barrier of the Southern Immortal Domain, they were stopped by the cultivator who was standing guard.

It was a True Immortal dressed in a feathered robe. Fury coloured his expression as he rang the old bell, sending a signal for the other experts in the vicinity to come over at once.

Previously, he would never have dared to speak this way to a crowd of Immortal Kings. He would have been subdued by their peerless auras. However, the situation was not the same now.

Not too long ago, in the Star Territory right outside the Southern Immortal Domain, the silhouettes of five Immortal Kings exploded from a single flick of that being’s palm. I was because he had that being’s backing that the True Immortal had the courage to stand in the void and confront the crowd of Immortal Kings in such a manner. He even dared to glare at them furiously. After all, the Immortal Kings from the Central Immortal Domain nearly caused the destruction of the entire Southern Immortal Domain.

“What’s going on?”

The Immortal Kings from the Central Immortal Domain were startled at first, but soon, they were thunderstruck and entirely confused. They had no clue what happened. They even felt a little incredulous over the fact that a True Immortal had the nerve to speak to seven Immortal Kings in that manner.

[Is he unafraid of death or did he have no will to live?]

A few of the ancient True Immortals who came along stood up and frowned as they growled, “What do you mean by that, my friend? Are we not welcome here?”

After the True Immortal from the Southern Immortal Domain rang the old bell, several other True Immortals quickly rushed over and were now eyeing the crowd from the Central Immortal Domain warily.

“Why are they showing such hostility towards us?”

The Immortal Kings from the Central Immortal Domain were frowning hard. It was their first time encountering such a situation.

They would have retaliated with force by now if it had not been for the present unique position of the Southern Immortal Domain. They certainly would not be showing such courtesy.

The dignity of Immortal Kings was not to be violated. In the past, if a mere True Immortal had the gall to speak to them this way, he would have been dead within the blink of an eye.

“How troublesome.” King Luo scoffed. A large hand stretched out and grabbed the True Immortal. Then, a terrifying aura swept across. No one could defend against it.

All the True Immortals trembled as their knees grew weak. They could not resist the urge to kneel. Such was the formidable might of an Immortal King. Before it, even True Immortals were merely a slightly larger insect.

King Luo searched the True Immortal’s memory to find out what was happening. He wanted to know why everyone from the Southern Immortal Domain was treating them with such hostility.

However, when he saw the memories in the True Immortal’s head, including the scenes from that fight earlier, all the colour drained out of his face.

That Dharma Body of an Immortal King had stood tall before the eyes of those in the Southern Immortal Domain and claimed to be King Luo. He even went so far as to say those things.

Following that, he set himself aflame and charged over in an attempt to attack that being by self-destructing.

“How abominable! Someone is trying to ensnare me…” King Luo growled in fury as his face grew pale. His anger made the stars around him shatter.

At last, he finally realised why he had been feeling easy. He had been feeling like someone was plotting against him.

That was indeed what happened.

Judging by the situation now, everyone thought the silhouette was indeed his. Even though his True Body did not make an appearance, in just a few words, all suspicion had been cast upon him.

Even though it was not his doing, he did not have irrefutable evidence to prove that.

“Who is trying to plot against me? I have no enmity with you…” King Luo was vexed and resentful. He could tell from the True Immortal’s memories that there were other unanswered questions about this battle.

“What exactly happened?” The other Immortal Kings were shocked by King Luo’s reaction. They came over to investigate the memories themselves.

Soon, everyone’s expressions changed. Though they were not as furious as King Luo, it was clear that they were deeply affected too. Their faces darkened as well.

“Who is trying to plot against the Central Immortal Domain? What a vicious attempt to destroy the Central Immortal Domain!”

The elderly female Immortal King from the Wang Family declared with a grave expression as she speculated that someone had set everything up.

Things were not as simple as they seemed. The fog that blew over all of a sudden had been too much of a coincidence. It just so happened to hold them long enough to keep them away.

And now, it did not matter how they tried to explain themselves. Even if they made a Heaven Dao Oath, they would not be able to free themselves of suspicion. After all, as Immortal Kings, ordinary Heaven Dao Oaths did not affect them by much.

Now that the other Immortal Kings understood what happened, their expressions were just as dark. It was clearly an attempt to cast suspicion over the Central Immortal Domain.

Alas, they had no clear evidence to prove that this matter had nothing to do with them. Therefore, they had to find a way to clear their name.

The one behind all of this had used this to drag the entire Central Immortal Domain down.

All of the Immortal Kings present were suspects too. After all, the five silhouettes who attacked had merely been Dharma Bodies and not the Immortal Kings’ True Bodies.  It could have been done through the use of some treasures. Nevertheless, that doesn’t change the fact that they currently had no way to clear themselves of suspicion.

“Such heinous and deplorable trickery…”

A veteran Immortal King could not help but sigh. He felt deeply sympathetic towards the furious King Luo.

Whoever it was, they had assumed the identity of King Luo and even declared his name as their own. At a time like this, no matter how hard King Luo tried to clear his name, he would not be able to give a convincing explanation.

He could even be suspected of purposely trying to confuse everyone.

Wang Zijin also could not help but feel sympathetic towards King Luo. His fury was understandable. Everyone else would have reacted like him too.

He was turned into the scapegoat out of the blue, and no matter how he tried to clear his name, he would not be able to succeed.

[It is true that misfortunes can happen no matter how cautious you are. I wonder who it is that has it out for King Luo… It must be someone who had a grudge against him. As for the suspects, they would most likely hide the tree in the forest. Showing sympathy now is the best way. In short, all seven Immortal Kings are under suspicion. Misfortunes sure do not come singly. At least not on this journey to the banquet…] Wang Zijin’s gaze swept over the seven Immortal Kings, including the two from the Wang Family. They were all equally suspicious in her eyes.

Once the seven Immortal Kings found out what happened, naturally, they were unwilling to take the blame for this.

If the situation was not handled properly, the entire Central Immortal Domain would be dragged down as well.

They immediately declared their innocence to the True Immortals, insisting that it had nothing to do with them. They were simply being used as scapegoats. They explained how they ran into trouble on the way over and got held up.

Nevertheless, there was no point in saying these things to the True Immortals here. They quickly rushed over to Queen Luna Residence to clear their name.

The True Immortals were confused, but they did not have the power to stop so many Immortal Kings from passing through.

Meanwhile, back at Queen Luna Residence, the banquet had already begun.

A feast of immortal delights and wine was served by the beautiful maidservants. Dawn light filled the air, adding an air of etherealness to the place.

The scene seemed to be reminiscent of ancient times when Immortals gathered for their banquets. Everything from the grand palaces and pavilions, sculptures and drawings, and even the floor of finest-quality Immortal Jade was shockingly decadent.

Immortal Mist swirled through the Immortal Bamboo Forest with light circling the mountains and silvery waterfalls cascading as divine light flickered.

The Immortal Kings from the Northern and Eastern Immortal Domains had taken their seats with their descendants behind them. They all toasted with wine in a harmonious gathering. Everyone had faint smiles on their faces. They all seemed relaxed with no trace of their earlier solemnity.

During the banquet, Queen Lunar arranged for beautiful women to perform exquisite dances.

Gu Changge also seemed perfectly at ease drinking wine with beautiful women by his side. Queen Lunar served him personally while the younger ones in the distance looked on enviously.

Just then, Immortal Light flickered in the Star Territory outside Queen Luna Residence and streaks of golden light broke through the sky and stretched down bearing many silhouettes.

“They are from the Central Immortal Domain,” Queen Lunar said.

She heard the news from the border of the Southern Immortal Domain and had already reported the situation to Gu Changge.

The many Immortal Kings present prepared themselves for a good show. Previously, they had been shocked by the audacity of the Central Immortal Domain, but later on, they heard about what happened from Queen Lunar.

Nevertheless, the truth remained uncertain.
