As soon as Gu Changge’s words rang out, all of the Immortal Kings present, including Queen Lunar and King Luo, froze and stopped in their tracks.

“Who is he talking to?”

They were all shocked and wondered if they were hearing things.

The Proud Immortal King of the Eastern Immortal Domain instinctively glanced at Ao Ling. He thought that Gu Changge made that comment because he recognised her.

Ao Ling said that she had met Gu Changge before.

But to his surprise, Ao Ling also looked shocked. Gu Changge was not looking at her when he said those words, so they were not meant for her.

“It’s her?” Queen Lunar tracked Gu Changge’s gaze and saw the woman in white who was trailing behind the Wang Family’s Immortal Kings.

As the woman stood there with her hair cascading like a waterfall, she looked like an ethereal, otherworldly being. Her beauty shone through her alabaster skin and bright eyes. Even Heaven would be jealous of her.

There was no denying that she was a captivating woman whose beauty was intoxicating. No one could tear their eyes off her.

Even as she stood among a crowd of True Immortals, she possessed an air of transcendence about her.

The Immortal Kings realised this too. They all stared at Wang Zijin. The two Immortal Kings from the Wang Family were also stunned.

“Are you acquainted with him, Zijin?” the elderly female Immortal King from the Wang Family could not resist asking.

Wang Zijin did not think that Gu Changge would call out to her now. She was taken aback at first, but she quickly composed herself.

“I am,” Wang Zijin replied, but she did not explain any further.

All the Immortal Kings were genuinely surprised by her reaction. She was too calm and collected. None of them could have done the same. After all, she was facing the being who terrified the whole Immortal Domain. He could even decide the fate of the entire Immortal Domain on a whim.

“You came from the Source World, Zijin, so you must have met him there.” A smile broke out across the elderly Immortal King’s face as she thought of this possibility.

The expression on the face of the other Immortal King from the Wang Family looked a little unnatural. He had not expected Wang Zijin to be acquainted with Gu Changge. Furthermore, her reaction was far too surprising. She was too calm. No one would have known about their acquaintanceship if Gu Changge had not spoken.

He recalled his eagerness in forming a marriage alliance with King Luo’s family through Wang Zijin. [If they both got along fairly well, would she inform him about her resentment towards me over my desire to marry her off?]

The Immortal King began to feel fearful and uneasy.

The other Immortal Kings present did not know about Wang Zijin’s past. They were shocked that Gu Changge knew her and began to speculate about her origins.

“Since we are acquaintances, why are you trying to leave without even a word of acknowledgement?” Gu Changge smiled faintly from his seat. With a wave of his hand, the other guests, including the Immortal Kings, wisely took their leave.

Even Queen Lunar and the others left swiftly.

From the way Gu Changge had spoken to Wang Zijin, they got the feeling that the relationship between the two was more than just simple acquaintances.

They could even be quite familiar with each other. Otherwise, why would Wang Zijin dare to maintain such composure in front of Gu Changge?

That being said, the Immortal Kings dared not ask any questions. They quickly took their leave despite their complicated emotions.

On the other hand, Ao Ling, who was beside the Proud Immortal King, seemed a little hesitant. It was as if she had something to say, though she ended up choosing not to.

Soon, Gu Changge and Wang Zijin were the only ones left in the Immortal Bamboo Forest.

Immortal Mist swirled and colourful light scattered across the serene forest. Celestial Cranes flew in the distance. All was tranquil.

“Should I address you as Young Master Changge or Sir Demon Lord?” Wang Zijin took light steps towards Gu Changge. Her body exuded a faint fragrance.

The hair danced in the air as her features relaxed. She did not feel nervous or uneasy even after finding out Gu Changge’s true identity.

She picked up the wine and poured herself a cup as she said, “I had my eyes on this immortal wine earlier. It looked good, but it was only for the Immortal Kings so I didn’t get to have a taste. It was so tempting.”

The rich wine shone brilliantly. Even calling it the nectar of jade would not suffice.

Just a whiff of its scent would spark enlightenment in ordinary cultivators, leading to a great boost in cultivation.

After all, this was immortal wine of the finest quality that only Immortal Kings could savour. Ordinary cultivators would never be able to get a taste of it.

Wang Zijin did not stand on formalities with Gu Changge. She lifted her cup and took a sip. Her eyes brightened, but she immediately felt a little light-headed. Her red lips were stained with wine.

“The wine is excellent, but… considering the cultivation I have, it seems like I can only have a sip. I won’t be able to drink more.” Wang Zijin shook her head which felt a little dizzy. Her flushed cheeks were temptingly red like a tender fruit.

At the same time, the rich fragrance of the wine filled the air. It felt as if Immortal Herbs had taken root in her body and were drawing in Principles to form Dao Fruits.  Dao Fruits that helped boost her cultivation.

Considering the cultivation level she has; she could only take a mouthful. Any more and her body would combust on the spot.

It made sense that only Immortal Kings could consume this immortal wine. If an ordinary cultivator drank just a mouthful, they would most likely die from the terrifying powerful effects.

“Use whichever one you prefer. Still, you’re making yourself quite comfortable, hm? You even dare to steal my wine.” Gu Changge shook his head slightly and took the cup of wine from her.

At a time like this, Wang Zijin was probably the only one who dared to be this casual with him. She even dared to steal his wine from right under his nose.

“This is a rare opportunity. I wouldn’t want to miss it. It’s the wine of Immortal Kings. An inconsequential cultivator like me would never get the chance to try it if it weren’t thanks to you, Sir Demon Lord.” Wang Zijin smiled gracefully as she leaned against the steps of the pavilion.

She was a little tipsy, but that only added to her allure.

Although she was shocked by Gu Changge’s real identity, she did not fear him the way the others did. After all, she had teased him quite a lot back in the Upper Realm. She did not care about such things then, so she would not do so now.

After her initial shock and confusion wore off, she went back to her normal, seemingly carefree and unconcerned self.

Gu Changge’s gaze grew contemplative as he swirled the cup of wine.

After downing the rest of the wine, he stated, “I didn’t think we would meet again here after so many years.”

“Have you no shame, Sir Demon Lord? You stole the cup of wine I drank from. What would the others from the Immortal Domain think if they saw you?” Wang Zijin’s eyes curved upwards as she teased, but she sounded noticeably intoxicated.

Even though she had only taken a sip of the wine, she was already dizzy.

The immortal wine sure does live up to its name. It took an inordinate amount of time to produce and was solely for Queen Lunar’s consumption. However, she brought it out to share with the Immortal Kings at the banquet.

Truth be told, Queen Lunar had been quite reluctant. She would only indulge in a cup of the wine herself whenever she was in a particular mood.

Gu Changge poured himself another cup of wine and said, “Even if they saw it, they would try their hardest to forget about it. And, this wine was meant for me in the first place, so how can it be considered stealing?”

“You’re just as domineering as ever.” Wang Zijun turned towards him with a faint smile in her eyes. Her hair scattered around her. A few strands danced in the air. Her cheeks were still a little flushed and her eyes a little unfocused as she stared at the man in white before her.

Gu Changge seemed to be smiling at her, but at the same time, he seemed to be merely calmly indulging in his wine.

His flawless features were worthy of the envy of all women.

At this moment, it felt as if he were sitting high up in the void and staring coldly at everyone beneath him.

Wang Zijin did not know if what she was seeing was a hallucination or a recollection of something else. She reached out and waved her fair hand in the air as if to chase away the images.

“What’s the matter? Do you wish to drink more?” Gu Changge did not know that Wang Zijin was starting to hallucinate.

When he saw her hand reaching out, he chuckled and passed the cup of wine to her.

“I don’t want more wine. I’ll get drunk if I drink more. Why are you so annoying? What do you want to do to me after getting me drunk?” Wang Zijin avoided the cup of wine he held out and wobbled as she stood up. She had to hold onto the pillar beside her for help.

She could not resist glaring fiercely at Gu Changge.

However, her wine-stained lips were plump and tender like flower petals. She felt even more light-headed now and was starting to regret what she did.

[I shouldn’t have drunk it.] She had a lot of things to say to Gu Changge, but after drinking the wine, her head started feeling rather heavy and she forgot what she wanted to say.

Her mind was blank.

Wang Zijin did not expect her reunion with Gu Changge to play out this way. She was going to pass out from the wine before she even got to say much.

“You haven’t changed at all. You’re just as outspoken as ever.” Gu Changge laughed and held her steady.

He did not know if Wang Zijin was doing it on purpose. She fell into his arms with her hands around his neck, hanging on him like an ornament.

A subtle yet enticing fragrance wafted over with a touch of the aroma of wine.

Gu Changge looked down. His eyes darkened a little. He did not think that his reunion with Wang Zijin, his old transmigrator friend, after so many years would end up like this.

They did not even get to say much before she comfortably drifted off to sleep due to her drunken state.

She trusted him so much.

In the past, when he found out that Wang Zijin was a transmigrator, he thought of her as someone who came from the same place as him.

Later on, after regaining more memories, Gu Changge realised that his so-called transmigrator identity was merely a planned anomaly. It was simply what he used to confuse the other two Source Prime Ancestors from the Source Realm.

Therefore, considering the situation now, was Wang Zijin, who was yet another transmigrator, truly an anomaly, or was it planned as well?

Gu Changge did not know the answer to this. It seemed like Wang Zijin buried the secret of her transmigration deep within her heart. She never told anyone else about it.

Though she seemed carefree and easygoing after coming to this world by chance, she was hiding the loneliness she felt on the inside. Her carefree attitude stemmed from the fact that she did not fit into this world and did not seek enlightenment the way the ordinary cultivators did.

“Are you trying to get close to me on purpose, or are things always destined somehow? If you do end up being someone’s pawn or disguise, should I kill you?” Gu Changge set the cup of wine down. His eyes were dark and unreadable. He murmured softly as he looked down at the drunk Wang Zijin.

He raised his hand with every intention of placing it on her head. If Wang Zijin was hiding some major secret, he could unearth it now if he wanted to.

Nevertheless…

After thinking in silence for a while, in the end, Gu Changge put his hand back down without doing so.

“Is this… the jade pendant I gave her back then? Has she been wearing it all this time?” When Gu Changge saw the jade pendant that peeked out of Wang Zijin’s robes, his expression grew a little complicated.

He had almost forgotten about that jade pendant. He had given it to her as a sign that he owed her a favour after he used her and Jiang Chuchu to find the Eternal Overcast Sources.

“G-Gu Changge…” All of a sudden, Gu Changge was drawn out of his thoughts when Wang Zijin muttered seemingly in her dream.

She was still somewhat conscious, though half-asleep at the same time.

“It seems like you’re not completely drunk yet.” Gu Changge’s expression resumed normalcy as he decided to get someone to find a place for her to rest.

However, Wang Zijin did not seem to have heard him as she continued to mutter subconsciously, “H-Have you ever thought of me… in these last few hundred years?”
