Ni Chen did not plan on giving up just like that. As long as he could possessed the whole Mountains and Oceans True World, became its new True Spirit, and turned the True World into his Incarnation World, his power would soar to unthinkable heights, even surpassing his previous peak.

Once that happened, he would be invincible. He would even stand a chance against even the Demon Lord that made the world tremble with fear.

“I might even be able to reach the state of Absolute Detachment this time.”

Ni Chen regained his composure. His most important task right now was to gain control over the Wang Family. Once he possessed the two Immortal King Ancestors, he would stand an even better chance at possessing Mountains and Oceans True World.

It went without saying that during this time, he had to find a way to ensure that everyone in the Wang Family did not notice anything unusual.

Wang Wushang destroyed a lot of his memories before Ni Chen managed to possess him. Therefore, Ni Chen could not fully replace him.

Because of that, Ni Chen was a little worried that the Wang Family Ancestors might sense something amiss.

As the years went by, the Forces of the Immortal Domain remained in a state of upheaval and restlessness. They all reduced their territories and maintained a low profile as they proliferated.

Some of the Immortal Kings worked on isolating the endless stretch of chaotic turbulence that separated the Immortal Domain regions in preparation for the reunification.

During this time, the ordinary cultivators and living beings sensed the gradual changes of the universes. Many Star Territories were starting to join together.

Previously, there had been rumours that the Immortal Domain would be combine as one again, and its fragments would be reformed once more.

Judging by the situation now, they knew it was not just a rumour but a fact instead. Some of the ancient stars fluctuated and gave off shocking energy as they gathered towards the Central Immortal Domain.

At the same time, the Forces  had long since given the order to prepare for the upcoming siege on the Other Domain. They knew that the Other Domain and the Immortal Domain were to reunite as one as well to form the peerless True World, and when that happened, the world would return to its peak of yore.

Every single one of them would benefit from that. It would be a glorious era that could enable them to reach even higher realms of cultivation. Becoming an Immortal King would no longer be the end of the path of cultivation. There were even higher cultivation realms beyond that.

The ones from King Ming Residence who were held inside King Luo Residence felt deeply anxious. They could not get out and they sensed that something significant was about to happen in the Immortal Domain.

“If this news is true, a terrifying upheaval will occur in both Domains…” Ming Yi said grimly.

They were stuck inside King Luo Residence and could not leave. They could not even inform the Other Domain about the situation over here in the Immortal Domain.

This left them feeling grim and sombre. Initially, they thought King Luo would meet them personally due to his connection with King Ming. However, ever since King Luo returned from the Southern Immortal Domain, he ignored them and acted as if they did not exist.

Even though their lives were not in any danger, they could not leave King Luo Residence and return to the Other Domain.

“It is said that the Immortal Domain will soon send an army to invade the Other Domain. If that’s true, there’s no doubt it’s by the command of that being… Otherwise, it is unlikely that the Immortal Domain would have the audacity to invade the Other Domain,” the Quasi-Immortal King from King Ming Residence said solemnly.

Despite being close to becoming an Immortal King, he did not stand a chance against an actual Immortal King. Therefore, he dared not risk breaking the restrictions outside King Luo Residence by force and taking Ming Yi and the others back to the Other Domain.

All they could do now was wait for news from the Other Domain.

If the Immortal Emperor Ancestors showed themselves, things would bode well for them, but if not, the Other Domain was doomed.

Over the years, there were quite a number of upheavals in the Other Domain too.

An Immortal Emperor Ancestor did exit seclusion. He picked up on a terrifying malicious intent that came from somewhere. It was as if a horrifying existence was spying on him from afar. Therefore, as soon as he reappeared back into the world, he summoned all Forces of the Other Domain. From them, he found out that the Demon Lord had resurfaced.

Due to that, the Forces of the Other Domain began making their preparations too. Some caught wind of the reunification of the Immortal Domains. And, that in the near future, the Immortal Domain could be raising an army to invade the Other Domain.

“Why’s there such a large continent here now?”

At the same time, inside a barren and ancient Star Territory in the Immortal Domain. A group of cultivators arrived in the form of divine rainbows.

The leader of the group and the one who spoke up with a frown was a True Immortal. He instructed the other cultivators behind to pause as well.

They were searching for signs of the Remnants of the Immortal Palace under King Luo’s command.

Right now, beyond the ripples, a vast stretch of ancient forest appeared before their eyes. The ancient peaks of the divine mountains towered up high with Immortal Mist swirling around them. There were also majestic buildings in the distance. It looked as if a city stood there.

With the emergence of the aura of Humans, countless wild beasts roared and a Golden-Winged Roc streaked through the sky. Even the True Immortal felt fearful.

The Golden-Winged Roc was just as powerful as a True Immortal. Its gaze was cold and its wingspan seemed wide enough to cover the entire sky.

However, the Golden-Winged Roc simply glanced at them before flying off in a different direction. Soon, it disappeared deep within the continent.

It was only now that they realised they seemed to have entered an unknown world. They were no longer stepping on the starry universe but an endless stretch of an ancient continent instead.

Everything gave off an ancient and primitive air.

“This place… The ground seems strange. It feels as if it contains the roots of the world. All spirit veins seemed to be rooted here. It feels like the ocean where all rivers eventually gather…” The True Immortal abruptly exclaimed in shock as he observed the ground beneath him.

His heart was filled with shock and astonishment.

When they looked back, they found that the road they had taken to come here had disappeared. The endless starry universe was gone. All that was behind them was a similar stretch of ancient forest.

“This is definitely an ancient boundary array that is capable of shrouding the Heavenly Secrets and masking everything… There is no doubt that many power beings live here.” The True Immortal began to look agitated as he recalled some of the ancient rumours.

When the Immortal Domain and the Upper Realm had been separated, some of the Forces went into hiding. They had disappeared without a trace.

Some of the supreme experts disappeared as well. No one knew if they were still alive. Some said they left the Immortal Domain and headed off into the unknown.

However, some said that they simply carved out a world of their own that was forbidden to outsiders. It was a world that stood independent of the rest of existence, unaffected by karma.

The place that they had stumbled into was most likely one such rumoured independent worlds that had an array to isolate it from everything else.

However, just as that True Immortal spoke, a black arrow shot out from a distant peak. It was marked with a horrifying energy as it ripped through the void, and with a whoosh, it pierced through the skull of the True Immortal, causing his body exploded into pieces.

A shower of blood burst in the air as he came to a tragic demise before he could even cry out in alarm.

“Who!?”

The other cultivators reacted in horror as they stared at the place where the arrow had come from.

They saw a tall and burly man standing on top of the peak. He was dressed in a robe made out of animal hide. His skin was bronze and his features handsome, but his expression was cold as ice.

At his feet, there was a wild beast that looked like a Dragon Climber. Its red eyes were fixed on the group of cultivators.

It was he who shot the arrow that killed the True Immortal in an instant with such horrifying power.

“It seems like the array won’t hold up for much longer. Outsiders have broken in.” The man standing on the peak had an icy expression as he seemingly muttered to himself. Without showing any mercy or asking these cultivators where they had come from, he raised his bow and killed them all.

Soon, the place fell silent again. The only trace of the cultivators left was the cloud of blood that hung in the air. Everyone, including the True Immortal, was dead.

Yet, the man standing on the peak was frowning with a look of worry. “The moment the array vanishes, we will be completely exposed to the outside world, and the situation out there isn’t very peaceful right now…”

“Previously, Elder Yu and the others made the risky move of venturing out, but they paid a devastating price…” After murmuring to himself a bit more, the man glanced at the distant mountains before crouching down beside the Dragon Climber.

“Let’s go, Xiao Hei.” The divine Dragon Climber ran off. Its body dashed across the peak like a bolt of lightning and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

The aura that emanated from it was deeply terrifying, surpassing even the average True Immortal. As for the man, he was as powerful as a Quasi-Immortal King.

If this place was exposed to the outside world, it would surely lead to a major upheaval and unleash a catastrophe.
