Fortuity surged in all parts of the universe. It was like a river pouring into the ocean. Startling changes occurred all over the Prosperous Dao True World.

The ones who felt the change most keenly were the peerless beings from the various Forces. Though they did not quite understand what this all meant in detail, they could feel it. The greater the Fortuity of Prosperous Dao True World, the more beneficial this world was for them.

Dao Realm expert like Ming and the Drunken Sword Immortal noticed this situation the most, for they had already reached a stage in their cultivation journey where it was extremely challenging to even take a small step forward. However, following the sudden burst of Fortuity in the environment, the bottlenecks they faced seemed to be loosening.

Amidst their surprise, they became even more emotional. Compared to others, they were certainly blessed with true Fortuity. Otherwise, they would not have gotten this far.

One’s Fortuity was closely tied to one’s abilities. The two worked in harmony. Thus, as the Fortuity of Prosperous Dao True World grew, they would also grow stronger.

At this point, even if they had thought about giving up on this True World, that was no longer possible.

During this time, the fate of many places had been thrown into chaos due to the opportunities that Gu Changge scattered all over.

There were Grand Spirit Masters who tried to figure out what was happening by using secret techniques to deduce the situation, but all they could see was the startling growth in Fortuity in all the various universes and territories within the Prosperous Dao True World.

Some beings were even cloaked in an abundance of Fortuity. Even though their cultivation had not changed by much, it was certain they would have much success in the future.

Such fortunate people kept cropping up. It seemed to signify that a glorious era which could even surpass all the previous ones was upon them.

Over the years, these situations kept playing out all over. After creating the storm of opportunity, Gu Changge did not interfere anymore. He allowed those fortunate, who received such miraculous opportunities, to grow on their own.

He was now adhering to the way of the Heavenly Dao by blessing the masses without seeking anything in return.

Though these fortunate people would one day give Gu Changge an unexpected surprise, to him, that was still too far into the future. It would take time for them to grow, and there were only some years before the Hunters outside the Prosperous Dao True World arrives.

The dark waves kept crashing against the embankment of the world. Rolling in time and time again, they were like tsunamis that towered high into the sky with shadows that blanketed the world.

Many peerless beings felt great pressure upon witnessing such a sight.

They placed all their hopes on Ni Chen, the Variable.

During this time, Ni Chen was in seclusion. With the help of the Power of Will from the masses, he was able to increase his cultivation at a rapid pace and had already grown from a Quasi-Immortal King to an Immortal King.

The fact that he achieved this in just a few months left all the peerless beings from the various Forces feeling shocked, agitated, and excited.

In their eyes, Ni Chen was now truly the Chosen One of the Heavenslayers Alliance. He had a heavy burden on his shoulders as all their hopes rested on him.

Seeing as how his cultivation increased so quickly under such circumstances, it felt like he was indeed the one who was born to resolve the Great Purge.

Ni Chen had not let any of those who kept a watchful eye on him down. While busy cultivating, he also kept training with the veteran Immortal Kings to further refine and stabilise his Dao Abilities.

His rate of cultivation was no longer simply shocking to the masses. They found it entirely unfathomable.

They would not have believed that someone could break through the cultivation realms like this unless they had witnessed it themselves.

Meanwhile, it seemed like their cultivation progressed at a rate that was slower than snails. They could not compare to him at all.

That being said, Gu Changge, the Gu Family’s Founding Ancestors, and the others had declared that Ni Chen was the Variable, so it was only natural that he possessed such unthinkable aptitude.

Many peerless beings thought that the many fortunate people who appeared recently would have some effect on Ni Chen. They could even compete with him later on.

Still, after giving it more thought, they found that the fortunate ones were still incomparable to Ni Chen.

Fortuity was a mysterious thing. Even the peerless beings could not explain it clearly.

All this while, Gu Changge paid close attention to the changes in Fortuity in the Prosperous Dao True World, and he was satisfied with the results.

Wang Zijin came to see him and mentioned the situation with Ni Chen. However, Gu Changge told her not to worry – for he had a plan. As for the information the Wang Family’s Immortal Kings requested Wang Zijin to share on their behalf, he had long since been aware of what had transpired.

All along, Ni Chen thought he hid everything flawlessly and left no traces. Never would he have thought that Gu Changge had already noticed many years ago when he and Wang Zijin saw ‘Wang Wushang’ outside the Mortal Palace.

However, at the time, Gu Changge did not pay much attention to it. He figured that perhaps it was merely a somewhat fortunate person.

After all, Wang Zijin’s Fortuity was startling too. Those related to her would gain some Fortuity as well.

Later on, when other changes appeared, Gu Changge began to pay close attention.

When ‘Wang Wushang’ underwent his Quasi-Immortal King Tribulation, Gu Changge used the chance to look into the situation. Then, he decided to go with the flow.

In the vastness of existence where True Worlds evolves, there would be times when strange and unusual talents emerged. Therefore, it was not surprising that beings of higher cultivation realms than ‘Wang Wushang’ did not notice anything unusual at first.

The original Wang Wushang himself had an abundance of Fortuity. Thus, it was not easy for one to deduce his fate.

Ming and the Gu Family’s Founding Ancestor had not been able to deduce the origins of ‘Wang Wushang’ either, but that was because Gu Changge had secretly intervened.

It was likely that ‘Wang Wushang’ himself was unaware of this. Perhaps he even thought that fate and Heaven were helping him.

That would not be totally inaccurate. After all, in Prosperous Dao True World, Gu Changge’s Will was Heaven’s Will too. Since he was protecting ‘Wang Wushang’, naturally, the others would not be able to detect anything suspicious.

Even Gu Wuwang, the Gu Family’s Founding Ancestor could not do so.

Wang Zijin was unsurprised by Gu Changge’s response. She even smiled knowingly. [Exactly as I thought. Well, have there been anyone in this world who could hide anything from him?]

Nevertheless, she did not have any fond feelings towards the real Wang Wushang. She even hated him a little, so she did not ask what would happen to him.

She did not come to speak to Gu Changge about this for the Wang Family’s sake. Instead, she had been a little worried. What if Gu Changge had failed to notice the truth?

After Wang Zijin left, Gu Changge was taken aback to find that Shen Xianer, Gu Xianer’s Little Sister, came to look for him. She wanted to ask him about her Older Sister.

Many of the Gu Family wanted to find out Gu Xianer’s whereabouts too. Her parents were extremely worried and would frequently ask about her at Peach Village. But now, even Tao Yao was missing.

Naturally, the other villagers had no idea where Gu Xianer was either, or where she had gone. Due to what happened in the past, Gu Xianer’s parents resented Gu Changge a little.

Even though Gu Xianer often tried to put in a good word for Gu Changge, it was to no avail. They figured that with Gu Changge’s power and resources, he could be aware of Gu Xianer’s whereabouts, so they asked Shen Xianer to come and ask him about it.

“Brother Changge…” Shen Xianer looked like she was in her twenties. She wore a pale-coloured robe and did not use any rouge. With her fine hair, exquisite appearance, and delicate features, she shared quite a marked resemblance with Gu Xianer.

She stood in front of Gu Changge with her fists tightly clenched. She seemed a little stiff and unsure of how to address him. In the end, she mimicked her Sister and addressed him as her Brother.

After all, when it came to their Bloodline, she and Gu Xianer were indeed biological Sisters.

Back in the Heavenly Tide Realm, she barely interacted with Gu Changge. They had only exchanged a few words. Furthermore, Gu Changge had an entirely different identity now. Even her mysterious Master treated Gu Changge with great respect.

“You don’t need to be so formal with me, Xianer. You can be yourself. You can learn from your Older Sister. She wouldn’t acting so distant or feel so anxious when dealing with me. At the end of the day, we are still Family.”

Gu Changge was sitting on a stone bench. There was a pot of piping hot water beside him. Steam was still coming out of the pot. He gently took off the lid and tossed some tea leaves into the pot before speaking to the woman in front of him with a smile.

They were in an elegant courtyard that was simple and plain. Perhaps because of Gu Changge’s pleasant demeanour and casual tone, Shen Xianer did feel a lot less nervous.

“Y-Yes, Brother Changge,” she replied meekly. Alas, she could not act as naturally as Gu Changge had encouraged.

Gu Changge did not mind. He could guess why Shen Xianer had come, and he asked her to take a seat.

“You wish to ask about your Sister’s whereabouts, correct?” he asked casually as he prepared the tea.

It sounded as if he were making everyday conversation with someone close to him.

“That’s right. She has been gone for a very long time. Our parents are very worried about her. They don’t know where she is and whether she’s safe or held up somewhere… That’s why they want me to ask you, to see if you know anything. If you do, they would be able to feel a lot more at ease.”

Shen Xianer lowered her eyes. She responded without looking at Gu Changge.

It was not just her parents. Even Ming, her Master, was concerned about Gu Xianer’s whereabouts. He even used a few things to try and deduce where she was.

Alas, it did not work. He could not find anything. Ming could only sigh helplessly.

Shen Xianer could tell that Gu Xianer was probably why Ming had taken her as his disciple. Back then, Ming said she resembled someone.

At the time, Ming did not know who that was. Later on, she recalled that she shared a great resemblance with her Older Sister, Gu Xianer. She figured that her Sister was the one Ming had mentioned.

Shen Xianer could not describe what she felt then. It was a complicated feeling that was mixed with a tinge of bitterness.

All along, she made it her goal to surpass her Older Sister, but now, she was her substitute. She would not have become the disciple of someone like Ming and received his care if it had not been for her Sister.

She would not have possessed such strength at such a young age. She would not even be able to interact with Gu Changge and address this Cousin of hers as Brother.

“You need not worry about your Sister. When the time is right, she’ll safely come back. She’s not in any danger right now.”

With a glance at Shen Xianer, Gu Changge could guess the emotions going through her. Still, he did not speak of it. It was to be expected. No Human could truly be selfless and not compare themselves to others.

“I’m glad that she is safe.” After hearing Gu Changge’s response, Shen Xianer exhaled in relief. Despite envying her Sister, she did not want anything to happen to her.

Blood was thicker than water, and Shen Xianer was not a malicious person.

Gu Changge nodded slightly. He did not say anything else. Instead, he focused on brewing his tea.

Truth be told, he did not try to deduce Gu Xianer’s whereabouts.

However, she was once the Incarnation of Heaven of the Mountains and Oceans True World. She also had the big red bird with her. She was born with great Fortuity and had passed through numerous Tribulations of that time. Even if she reincarnated numerous times, she would not be harmed by such minor dangers.

When a being like her appeared, she would certainly get to the point where she could face calamities head-on.

Since Shen Xianer received an answer, she was about to take her leave when Gu Changge invited her to stay for a cup of tea before leaving.

Since she was Gu Xianer’s Little Sister, there was no harm in giving her an opportunity too.

The moment Shen Xianer drank the tea, she immediately felt different. Her eyes widened.

Her expression was similar to Gu Xianer’s dazed one.

“Brother Changge… this is…” She finally registered what happened. How could the tea that Gu Changge drank be an ordinary cup of tea?

Gu Changge smiled, but he did not explain. He simply told her to go back and cultivate. The cup of tea she drank was just as potent as the opportunities found by the Fortuitous Ones.

After realising what was going on, Shen Xianer’s eyes filled with gratitude. She stood up and bowed to Gu Changge.

Once she left, Gu Changge left the courtyard too.

The peak where he stayed now could not be considered grand by any means. It was merely one of the thousands around. However, if Chan Honyi and Tao Yao were here, they would be able to tell that it was rather similar to Gu Changge’s old Devil Mountain.

“It’s time to prepare my second gift.” Gu Changge shook his head lightly as he stared at the clouds swirling around the mountains and the oceans.
