Gu Changge did not mind. He could guess why Shen Xianer had come, and he asked her to take a seat.
“You wish to ask about your Sister’s whereabouts, correct?” he asked casually as he prepared the tea.
It sounded as if he were making everyday conversation with someone close to him.
“That’s right. She has been gone for a very long time. Our parents are very worried about her. They don’t know where she is and whether she’s safe or held up somewhere… That’s why they want me to ask you, to see if you know anything. If you do, they would be able to feel a lot more at ease.”
Shen Xianer lowered her eyes. She responded without looking at Gu Changge.
It was not just her parents. Even Ming, her Master, was concerned about Gu Xianer’s whereabouts. He even used a few things to try and deduce where she was.
Alas, it did not work. He could not find anything. Ming could only sigh helplessly.
Shen Xianer could tell that Gu Xianer was probably why Ming had taken her as his disciple. Back then, Ming said she resembled someone.
