Before the System came, Chen Changan’s thinking was simple: he’d be hiding in some dark corner of the Nine Province Continent and relying on the Eternal Body to become Immortal.

This turned out to be a death sentence as well. He was the poorest man that had ever existed in the entire universe.

“It’s fine, even if you reveal it. Just let them all come to the Lower Realm if they want.”

Jiang Yuchan’s heart stirred. [Senior has regained his strength?]

Her thought changed to, [No, he’s threatening me. I don’t know how Senior hid in the Lower Realm, but those Immortal Domain Lords have no way of descending. If Senior has recovered, why then remain in the Lower Realm? He should be returning to the Upper Realm and wreaking havoc across the Immortal domains.]

[It must be a Senior’s test! A threat! He’ll be sure to kill me the minute I falter.]

Jiang Yuchan vowed to Dao without hesitation. “As the Heavens are my judges and the Earth my witness, I, Jiang Yuchan, vow on Dao to be struck down and destroyed if I ever reveal Senior to the world.”

Boom!

A purple lightning flashed down from the sky, striking Eternity Temple.

It entered

Jiang Yuchan’s mind and formed a bond, the Dao Oath. The mere thought of

betraying her promise would disintegrate her.

Dao was unbiased. To Immortals, it was the deadliest promise they could make. Not even an Immortal Domain Lord could withstand it.

“Senior, I made my Dao Oath and won’t tell anyone.” Jiang Yuchan bowed. “Please spare me.”

Chen Changan was speechless. He sighed, “Jiang Yuchan, you’ve mistaken me completely.”

He wanted her to expose him and get Immortals down here for a constant income of Domain Points.

[I didn’t say you should take the vow, so why the Hell did you? My easy points~.]

Chen Changan lamented the loss. He looked at the ill Jiang Yuchan he had thought of before, and now he was certain. [This woman’s hopeless, in the pits of the bridal chamber.]

[Uh, scratch that last part.]

(Tamon: pun, meaning she fell hard, be it from illness or in love.)

An Immortal Light flew out of the Soaring Immortal Mountain and vanished in the distance.

On his mountain, Chen Changan held the storage ring as he watched the glow fade, the girls by his side.

Ling Bao’er said, “Wow, Master, that pretty girl sure is fast.”

Foxy nodded. “Yi, ya, yi, ya.”

Chen Changan replied, “Her illness is beyond hope. She must be heading home to heal.”

Ling Bao’er and Foxy nodded in understanding.

Chen Changan sighed.

His chance of leaking news of his Eternal Body to the Immortals was a bust due to Jiang Yuchan’s dumb Dao Oath. He could only try it on the next descending Immortals.

Chen Changan focused on the storage ring. It was the result of the exchange.

All the Immortal Treasures, Herbs, and Stones within, were traded for just one of Chen Changan’s Everlasting Immortal Fruits.

In fact, Jiang Yuchan was against even taking a fruit to begin with, happy with just being able to leave in peace and never to see Chen Changan ever again.

Chen Changan could never take something for free.

While unaware of Everlasting Immortal Fruit’s true value, he figured all the storage rings’ Immortal Treasures ought to match the worth of one, no?

The Everlasting Immortal Fruit held no value to Chen Changan, not when he could pop them out like candy thanks to the nifty creation trait.

In his mind, giving an Everlasting Immortal Fruit, even at a loss, was still totally worth it.

Jiang Yuchan’s terror painted clearly on her beautiful face taught Chen Changan one thing: there would be no further cooperation in the near future or otherwise.

“Bao’er, take out everything in this ring.” Chen Changan asked.

“Will do, Master.”

Ling Bao’er had everything Artifacts, Herbs, and Stones out on display, glittering in Chen Changan’s eyes.

They totaled six Immortal Artifacts—four defensive and two for attacking—five Immortal Herbs—with incredible amounts of Immortal Energy, yet of unknown effect that Chen Changan just planted them in his garden—and, finally, a dozen Immortal Stones.

The stones glittered in many colors, containing some mystical power.

Chen Changan held one up for a closer look. “So this is an Immortal Stone?”
