Mist Province was ever-surrounded by clouds and mist, covered in springs, rivers, and swamps teeming with Butterfly Kois.
Boom!
The clouds above shuddered from a massive power surge, shooting in Ghost Province’s direction.
Wo~
A dull and heavy horn sounded that cut through the Heavens and Earth as a large bronze ship glimmered in the sun, its immense size weighing heavy above the onlookers.
Someone exclaimed, “That’s Mist Province Lord’s Gold Immortal Vessel.”
“It’s going straight for Ghost Province.”
“A supreme expert appeared in Ghost Province two weeks ago who cut down Immortals. They say it was then that the Mist Province Lord sensed the Mist Province Cauldron activated.”
Someone gasped, “Wasn’t the artifact supposed to be with the princess? Is she hiding in Ghost Province?”
“Most likely.”
A stout and solid man in golden Buddhist robes stood on the bow of the mighty ship, his blond hair dancing in the wind; a string of Buddhist relics dangled at his waist.
His gaze was distant, his hands behind his back, as he spoke in a deep voice. “Ah’Miao, I found you at last. Interesting. Chen Changan, the supreme expert, vanquisher of Immortals.”
The Gold Immortal Vessel pierced through the clouds and vanished in the distance.
Near the Bronze Mountain in Cloud Province stood a grand city spreading for thousands of
miles, filled with ancient and countless monuments of ages long past and forgotten. The place was teeming with Humans, Demons, Monsters, and even the Undead from all walks of life. Many of the strong cultivators were discussing Ghost Province’s events.
She Zini, Hong Yi, and Touba Ye met in a tavern and overheard the discussion. The trio’s eyes shone with reverence.
Hong Yi spoke with adoration, “We didn’t get to witness the Young Master’s glorious style as he fought with the Immortal. What a tragedy.”
She Zini said, “Young Master’s fame has reached even Cloud Province. His skill and power are a shock to everyone.”
She Zini gave Touba Ye an envious look. Touba Ye was on the same level as them, but as a brand new Golden Immortal, he made short work of all the fools the Golden Python Clan sent after him. A power granted by the Young Master himself.
[Immortals are lofty and distant, but to the Young Master, they are nothing.]
Touba Ye grumbled, “She Zini, how is the research on Eternity Coven going? The Young Master gave us a mission. We have to finish it. The best would be to find Eternity Coven’s leader as well.”
“The trail leads deep into Bronze Mountain. Finding him won’t be easy, especially since the depths of Bronze Mountain are fraught with deadly danger. Not to mention we have tge Golden Python scion making a mess of things.” She Zini grimaced.
He thought his newfound talent would raise him to a new status in the Golden Python Clan, and then employ its help to find Eternity Coven’s leader. Only to find himself hounded by his clan. He just had to expose his talent early, leading to the scion going after him for threatening his position.
[Curses! It’s delaying the Young Master’s mission!] She Zini’s eyes flashed with bloodthirst.
“Touba Ye and Hong Yi, you came just in time. If that scion dares mess with the Young Master’s business, kill him. I’ll swiftly take hold of the Golden Python Clan and use all they have to find Eternity Coven’s Elder.”
Touba Ye nodded. “Right.”
“Let’s get to it.” Hong Yi said.
Hong Yi wanted nothing more than to hurry back to lay her eyes on the impressive visage of the Young Master; even if the event was days old.
It did not stop the rest of the Nine Province Continent from talking on end about Chen Changan’s glorious feat of killing an Immortal. The news only got hotter as it went on. Especially since among the eyewitnesses there were many women who fell enamored with his charm as he dispatched the Immortal.
Even so, many wished to be his disciples. Under the tutelage of such a mighty expert, the sky was the limit. Now the Myriad Mountains were teeming with cultivators, all hoping to catch a glimpse of Chen Changan.
Ending up as his disciple wasn’t bad either.
Alas, the Myriad Mountains were filled with ferocious Demons beyond their strength, keeping the tourists on the fringe.
As for every Ghost Province faction, beside Nine Swords Sect, all were staying put, not bothering to pay Chen Changan respect.
They knew Chen Changan had messed with Upper Realm Immortals, and they would never let him go.
Chen Changan was tough, sure, but they preferred caution above danger.
