Ten days after the Northeast Tower leveled up, Kousuke checked the logs in the control room of the Southeast and Southwest Towers. He had found that both Towers had leveled up.

He wondered how it was possible to raise the level of both Towers at the same time when there had been no sign of their level increasing at all. Nevertheless, Kousuke decided to take it in stride.

In the first place, regarding the level of the Northwest Tower being raised, Kousuke was only able to raise it because he coincidentally hit the right condition.

Considering this, it could also be considered as a natural result.

Kousuke had guessed this for some time, but he believes that the Four Elemental Towers had the same or similar conditions in raising their levels. As such, they should be able to guess the conditions if they could level up any one of the four Towers.

However, it was not yet confirmed that the conditions would always be similar. Such conclusions could only truly be made until the four Towers had all leveled up in tandem.

If possible, Kousuke hoped that the trend of these four Towers in having similar level up conditions continued.

The Southeast and Southwest Towers were originally managed by Sylvia and Floria, but both of them were now involved in the management of Razequa Amamiya. They barely had the time to manage the two Towers.

Therefore, the other members have started to help out when they had the spare time to do so. They even implemented new things into the Towers.

The new things implemented were whatever they could think of, which had yet to be implemented in the two Tower.

Kousuke was also implementing things in other Towers, things he couldn’t implement in Amamiya Tower.

The other six Towers have their unique characteristics and could do things that could not be done in Amamiya Tower after all.

For those that could be installed in Amamiya Tower, he treated the other Towers as a testbed, to see the effects of such implementations.

Some of the monsters might evolve unexpectedly, so the results could be quite interesting.

With this in mind, Kousuke decided to go check the two Towers that had just raised their level.

This time, Shrein accompanied him.

The North Tower had not leveled up yet, so she was thinking that she might learn a trick or two that would be helpful for her Tower.

“Oh, is this a Water Viper?”

“Yes, it seems so.”

Kousuke and his group were now at the Southeast Tower.

A snake was coiled around the waterside in front of them. It was of course, Kousuke’s dependent, so it did not act in a hostile manner.

The overall bluish coloration of the snake differed from that of other vipers from which it evolved from.

The original vipers were brown in color.

Compared to the original vipers, however, it was not so big, measuring only about 50 centimeters in length. In terms of size alone, the original vipers were larger.

However, the only water viper in front of them currently had no peers, so they were still not sure if this was their standard size.

“Hmmm…”

Shrein muttered and reached out her hand, and without hesitation, the water viper wrapped itself around her arm and climbed up.

It was a little distracting for Kousuke to see a beautiful woman like Shrein with a snake attached to her. Nevertheless, Shrein accepted the snake without any particular change in her expression.

“Shrein is fine with snakes, huh?”

Shrein tilted her head at Kousuke’s words, but soon realized what he meant and nodded.

“I’m fine with them. I do know that most women aren’t. I still think this mostly only applies to human women though. It is a generalization but, I mean, those that hate snakes don’t necessarily hate all manner of reptiles, right?”

“I guess so?”

“I mean, isn’t it the same with Collete? As an elf, she won’t be able to live in the woods if she can’t handle snakes, right?”

“Yeah.”

Kousuke, who thought about the lifestyle of elves living in the forest, nodded in agreement.

It was true that the elves, who had built settlements in the middle of the forest, would not be able to live well if they got startled by snakes every time they saw one.

Some elves might not be fond of snakes, but it was definitely not as many as the humans who live in towns, who have moved further away from nature.

“Does that mean vampires have a similar temperament to elves?”

“No. It’s just that snakes and other reptiles are often used in our rituals, so I don’t think there are as many of us who detest them compared to humans.”

“Oh, that’s why.”

It was true that if they felt aversion to every ritual, they wouldn’t be able to carry out the ritual.

“But still… It seems quite attached to you, huh?”

Water Viper remained wrapped around Shrein as they talked.

“Really? I don’t really know myself.”

Kousuke almost laughed as Shrein tilted her head.

From Kousuke’s point of view, a beautiful woman with a snake was very enticing, but Schrein didn’t seem to realize it at all.

Even though Kousuke knew from their previous conversations that she was not disgusted by snakes, he, on the other hand, could not seem to get rid of the feeling of revulsion when dealing with such creatures. It had been ingrained in him ever since childhood.

In fact, even when he was already a living god, Kousuke was still not fond of the shiny black insect.

Leaving the Water Viper shrieking with regret, the two headed for the Southwest Tower.

The one that met the Southwest Tower level-up requirements was a Salamander, which evolved from a Lizard.

Unlike Kousuke’s imaginary image of a Salamander, it was small. Far too small.

In terms of body length, it was about 60 centimeters. Naturally, the color of its body was bright red.

With such a conspicuous color and small body, one might think that it would be immediately targeted by its natural enemies, but this did not seem to be the case. After all, it was of a higher race than Lizards.

Once Kousuke witnessed the Salamander fight. The Salamander easily defeated the monster that attacked it by using its skills with fire. It was far more capable in battle than it appeared to be.

Shrein was watching the battle with admiration.

“It is stronger than I expected.”

“Huh? Do you also know a ton about Salamanders?”

“Of course. Salamanders are useful as a material for rituals and magical tools, you know?”

The Salamander might not have understood Shrein’s words, but it sensed something in the atmosphere causing it to hide from Shrein’s sight.

“You don’t have to avoid me that much. I wouldn’t hurt any of Kousuke’s dependents, you know?”

Shrein said with a wry smile, and the Salamander, who had been hiding, gave a little peek.

Looking at the Salamander, it somehow reminded Kousuke of a cat hiding in the shadows to see what was going on.

“From what I heard, materials from Salamanders are traded at a high price.”

Kousuke, who had already become not only first-class, but super-class when it comes to magical tools, muttered his knowledge..

“Hmm. It’s partly because of how rare and few there are. Well, there is also their strength to consider, which results in great difficulties when hunting them.”

It was true that it may be difficult to defeat them since their main attack and defense involved flames. Still, since their fireballs simply flew straight at their targets, they were easy to dodge.

The other thing was that if someone unintentionally touched them, Salamanders might increase their bodily temperature. Since Kousuke never really made contact with a live specimen, this was something he was unaware of.

Soon enough, they were able to add new dependents to the two Towers, both excellent manifestations of the Tower’s respective Elements.

The Four Element Towers had now all been raised to the same level, but the problem was what comes next.

If they wanted to raise the level of the Towers further from here on, the conditions would be more severe.

Knowing this, they would have difficulties predicting what the conditions would be.

If it took a long time, as it did before, finding out the proper condition would be like finding a needle in a haystack.

Of course, the answer was not written anywhere, so they would simply take their time until something happened again.

Kousuke couldn’t help but wonder if he would even be able to figure out what the conditions for another level up was.
