“Xiao Qiu, I pity you. Come sit with me.” One female cultivator teased him.

He ignored her.

“You’ll never be anything but a cuck with that attitude. How rude.” The same girl mocked.

“That’s inbred simpness for you.”

“Ha-ha-ha, I’m dying from laughter. How can his type even exist?”

“Xiao Qiu, Hua Yuntian is spent. Go push him!”

His ears were filled with their mockeries and scorn, with more people coming over just to laugh at him. Everywhere he looked, someone was enjoying his pain and misery.

Xiao Qiu grimaced but relaxed his fists. He left having made up his mind to never return.

Xu Hei watched it all when a stroke of genius hit him.

“Make a scene? Ain’t this the perfect chance?”

Xu Hei slipped with extreme caution under the house.

Coincidence or not, the place had no barrier, its unchoreographed symphony traveling outside. Xu Hei liked it, for he entered with ease.

Keeping his Divine Sense to himself, he used his tongue to feel the air for their position.

“One at peak Qi Refining and one having just reached Foundation Establishment, the female and Hua Yuntian, who has yet to fully recover.”

Xu Hei drew closer, pulling a dark golden scale and hovering with Attraction right under them.

“This house’s floor is hard and, while Earth Spike might pierce it, it’ll draw their attention before it would hit. Not to mention it makes too much noise.

“Which leaves this option.”

Using scales with Attraction was a tried and tested method.

The good were the speed and silence, perfect for assassinations.

The bad was the very limited range. The further it got, the weaker it became since it hinged on Attraction. The highest odds of success were within ten meters.

It just so happened that Xu Hei was right at the limit of this distance.

“Die!”

Xu Hei shot the scale straight up at the two.

His target was the peak Qi refining female, having no confidence he could take a Foundation Establishment cultivator down as well.

He just had too damn many aces. Even with Xu Hei being sneaky and using everything in the attack, he’d just shrug it off one way or another.

Whoosh~

The hard floor was pierced like nothing, marred by a minute crack, as the shadow went through the bed.

“There’s…”

Hua Yuntian winced, the fastest to react, shifting aside the instant the scale was thrown.

The shadow glanced at his body as his defensive spirit jade triggered by itself to block damage.

The other wasn’t so fortunate. She blocked her vitals with her hand, but the scale just cut it off, eliciting a shriek of pain from her.

The clamor was cut short as the scale came out between her eyebrows on its way back underground.

Everything happened faster than one could breathe, in a split second.

Hua Yuntian just stared in shock for a moment, his heart beating wildly from the mortal danger he was in.

Horror, panic, anger, hate… every emotion conceivable assaulted his mind, taking his breath away.

“Ling’er!”

The first one to cry wasn’t him, but the leaving Xiao Qiu outside.

He blew open the door the moment he heard her scream, rushing in from panic.

The scream was one of sorrow and fear, only coming out when death was nigh.

Barging in, Xiao Qiu came upon Yin Ling limp on the bed, with blood and brains leaking from her forehead.

Xiao Qiu’s head went white, suffering a mental breakdown.

Followed by unspeakable rage boiling in his eyes as he stared at Hua Yuntian.

“You, you did this!”

The howl of fury snapped Hua Yuntian out of his own shock.

He saw a raging Xiao Qiu and shivered, actually feeling fear from this Qi Refining disciple.

“Y-you got it all wrong. It’s all a plot…”

He didn’t get to finish.

Xiao Qiu roared and flew at him with a flying sword in hand.

“You, you killed her! Why, why, why?!”

“Xiao Qiu, calm down…”

“Die!”

A full-blown war was occurring inside that house, crumbling it from the devastating forces at play and throwing bricks all around.

Anyone knew not to anger nice guys, for they would blow out worse than a volcano.

Xu Hei recovered his scale and left without a trace.

“Was it too much?”

He thought as he heard the loud explosions behind.

A mighty aura flashed into existence from afar, belonging to one of the Foundation Establishment elders in the Alchemy House.

Hei Huang’s Sending Talisman echoed out.

“It’s done. Hurry over and let’s haul everything.”

Xu Hei perked up, rushing to the Alchemy House.

In the building, the disciples were knocked out on the floor, their storage bags missing. As for the second elder, she was stuck inside an alchemy furnace for some reason; her rage-filled strikes banged against the furnace walls, shaking it nonstop.

“Goddamned mutt, let me go! Let me out and fight me!”

The elder howled as well, her voice resounding inside the furnace.

Hei Huang never paid her any heed, busy with passing his shifty and deft paws over all the tables and doing some much-needed clea-, appropriation, of the messy ingredients strewn about, all ending tucked away in the safety of his storage bag.

Xu Hei popped out of the ground and used Attraction with similar precision to pick up any pill that entered his sight.

A medicinal scent came from a box, and Xu Hei cracked it open with a scale before emptying it of all ingredients.

Top stuff, that was for sure, the best in making Foundation Establishment Pills, he reckoned.

“We’re rich, ha-ha-ha!”

Even Xu Hei, with his low-key temper, cracked a smile.

“Foul beast, I’m gonna butcher you! Fight me if you dare!”

Xu Hei stared at the ever-shaking furnace and threw a Fire Serpent since it was missing a fire. The thanks he got was making the raging voice shout louder.

“How did you get her in there, you sly dog?” Xu Hei asked.

“Hey, don’t pin this on me. She jumped in herself.” Hei Huang justified.

Crack~

The furnace took this moment to reaffirm its presence with the many cracks appearing on it. The Foundation Establishment hag was about to pop out.

“Oh crap, let’s bolt!”

Xu Hei snatched the other boxes with no time to open them before going underground.

“Hey, where’s the fire?”

Hei Huang was cool about taking another, larger furnace and waved his paw to dump the almost exploding furnace in. He put a lid on it, of course, and sealed it. Then he took his sweet time leaving.

“Agh! Blasted fleabag, I’ll end you!”

Some people were just so angry.
