In the narrow cave, the two corpses lying on the ground stank terribly.
Ye Liuli looked at Lu Ye in shock. Although his face was the same, she felt like she didn’t know him at all. This feeling made her flustered, but she had no idea what was going on.
While she was in her thoughts, Lu Ye suddenly staggered. He jabbed his saber into the floor to retain his balance.
After he was sent to this place using the hidden Teleportation Ward outside Hundred Wards Tower, all his Spiritual Power was gone. That was fine as he could make use of the reserve in the Spirit Storage Ring.
However, he couldn’t solve his frailty quickly.
The reason he had been lying there silently was to restore his energy while fooling his enemies into thinking that he was harmless.
After he managed to kill the two people, all his energy was gone as well.
“Sixth Brother!” Ye Liuli rushed over and supported his weight.
Lu Ye shook his head and motioned for her to stay silent.
“Brother Liu, Brother Zhao?” someone was heard calling out from outside.
There were five people in total. Two of them had entered the cave while the rest stood outside to prevent Lu Ye and Ye Liuli from fleeing. That seemed like a reasonable arrangement. Nevertheless, the people outside the cave had never expected that their companions would be killed in such a short time.
How did such a thing even happen?
Although the two brats from the Ye Family were fairly powerful, they were badly injured, and they must be exhausted from running away for days. As such, they could only use a fraction of their powers.
Even if they were healthy, it was impossible that they could kill the two cultivators in such a short time.
One of them was a Seventh-Order Body-tempering Cultivator, so it wasn’t easy to kill him.
At that moment, the three of them even suspected another powerful cultivator was hiding inside the cave.
The death of their companions made them put their guard up. None of them had the guts to enter the cave. Just as they were in a dilemma, they heard some noise from somewhere.
“Who is it!?” one of them growled and turned around, only to see a white little beast stepping out from behind a tree. The little beast looked like a cub, and there was an adorable print on its forehead.
If they came across such a beast under normal circumstances, they would try to catch it. Although the beast was small, it exuded a powerful aura. If they could capture it and sell it, they would earn quite some money.
However, their goal was to kill Lu Ye and Ye Liuli. Since two of their companions were killed, they weren’t willing to divert their attention at such a critical moment.
Therefore, one of them yelled at the white little beast, “Get lost!”
At the same time, he activated his power to scare the other party off.
What shocked him was that instead of retreating, the white little beast growled at him.
“You evil creature…” the person cursed. The next moment, his expression changed drastically because he felt some violent fluctuations of Spiritual Power coming from behind. When he turned around, he saw some arcs breaking through the air and whooshing towards him.
A young girl was standing in that direction. It seemed that she was only 15 or 16 years old with a petite figure. However, her aura showed that she was a Sixth-Order Cloud River Realm Master.
Moreover, she was a Spell Cultivator.
Why did she appear all of a sudden?
The three of them quickly fended off the arcs. Nevertheless, the young girl was able to cast all sorts of spells rapidly, making it difficult for them to ward off the attacks.
All of them were flabbergasted. One of them was a Spell Cultivator as well. Regardless of his cultivation, the speed at which he cast his spells wasn’t comparable to that of this young girl.
When they finally managed to gain a foothold, the Combat Cultivator was ready to charge forward. Just then, he was alerted by a vicious aura coming from behind.
He turned around and saw a huge tiger opening its mouth. Its sharp teeth radiated a cold glint.
“Ah!” exclaimed the Combat Cultivator. He had never expected the cute little beast could transform into such a ferocious tiger.
While turning around, he hurriedly extended his Spirit Artifact towards the tiger’s head.
The next moment, a clang was heard. Although the attack was powerful, it couldn’t even shatter the Spirit Essence around the tiger’s head. The cultivator felt a sharp pain in his arm as the tiger sank its teeth into it.
Just then, another two figures strode out of the cave. They were none other than Lu Ye and Ye Liuli.
Yi Yi and Amber had been looking for Lu Ye. Although Ye Liuli had provided some information about the terrain and the special features around the area, it was hard to find out their whereabouts.
Fortunately, the fight earlier created some noise, which allowed Yi Yi to locate Lu Ye as she brought Amber to help him out.
They came at the right time. If the three cultivators insisted on barging into the cave, Lu Ye and Ye Liuli would’ve been doomed, given their conditions.
Lu Ye had reached his limit after flaring up and killing the two cultivators earlier.
The battle outside the cave ended just as quickly as it had started. Yi Yi and Amber worked well together. With Lu Ye and Ye Liuli joining the battle, there was no mystery as to who would win the battle.
Over ten breaths later, three corpses were lying on the floor.
Lu Ye panted heavily with a pale face.
Meanwhile, Amber was licking a wound on its paw. The wound was small, so there wasn’t much blood.
Amber had rarely taken part in any battles since it started following Lu Ye. Most of the time, it crouched down on Lu Ye’s shoulder to let him make use of its power.
It wasn’t that the tiger wasn’t willing to fight. It was just that most of Lu Ye’s enemies were much stronger than him. In such battles, there was not much Amber could do. Therefore, it would be better to let Lu Ye make use of its power.
With that said, it didn’t mean Amber wasn’t able to fight.
Its figure had become robust after it made use of the Dragon Scale to nurture its body for a long time. Usually, the tiger looked like a cute little beast, but when it revealed its true form, it was actually a ferocious beast.
The White Tiger was the best attacker among the Four Sacred Beasts.
Yi Yi and Ye Liuli exchanged glances. The two of them looked like they were about the same age, and their figures were also similarly petite. If they stood together, anyone would believe that they were Sisters.
As they looked at each other, they thought at the same time, [Who is she?]
The atmosphere was slightly awkward. Even Amber could feel it, so it continued licking its paw.
“Take their things first. We have to leave this place quickly,” Lu Ye said.
Yi Yi and Ye Liuli took action at the same time. One of them dealt with the three corpses outside while the other took the things from the two corpses inside the cave.
Soon, a white figure charged forward across the forest. Lu Ye was on the tiger’s back while Ye Liuli was in front of him.
Yi Yi was flying alongside them with a furious expression. She thought with displeasure, [That’s my seat!]
She stole glances at Ye Liuli from time to time and quickly looked away. If not for the fact that she didn’t want to let her know she was an apparition, she would’ve snuck into Amber’s body and ignored everything.
“Sixth Brother, who is this beast and the young girl over there?” Ye Liuli could tell that Lu Ye was familiar with the young girl, and even the White Tiger was close to him.
She wasn’t aware that Lu Ye had friends like them. However, she could feel that the young girl was somewhat hostile towards her.
“I got to know them when I was wandering around this area previously,” Lu Ye explained.
[So, I’m an outsider now.] Yi Yi felt aggrieved.
Anyway, she had entered Myriad Beast Domain with Lu Ye before, so she knew that in such a Hidden Realm with a world of its own, Lu Ye would be given an identity.
Although she didn’t know what Lu Ye’s identity was in this world, she could tell that he was close to the young girl.
[Are they in that kind of relationship?] She fell into her wild thoughts.
Everyone fell silent, and Ye Liuli didn’t ask any further. Lu Ye quickly tried to restore his energy while an aggrieved Yi Yi moved forward alongside them.
Meanwhile, Amber ran even faster as it thought that since it was a tiger, the situation had nothing to do with it.
Lu Ye had no idea how many people were hunting them down, but there shouldn’t be a lot of people. That was because they were already in a terrible state previously.
Anyway, this kind of pursuit was nothing compared to what had happened to Lu Ye on the Cloud River Battlefield. Therefore, the situation wasn’t as bad as it seemed.
Two hours later, Amber arrived at a hidden valley and stopped in its tracks. Lu Ye landed on the ground and found a spot before building some simple wards to conceal their whereabouts.
Although he was on his last legs, his mastery of the Way of Wards had improved significantly after a trip to Hundred Wards Tower. The simple wards he built couldn’t be easily seen through by the average cultivator.
In that case, they had a chance to take a breather.
As long as he could fully recover, they would be out of the woods. As for what he had to do next, he had no idea. He could only play it by ear.
He said something to Yi Yi and Ye Liuli before going somewhere else and sitting down with his legs crossed.
Amber had turned into a little beast as it took a nap.
Ye Liuli was trying to recover as well. Since her injury was less severe than Lu Ye’s, she awakened before the man did.
She took a look at Yi Yi, who appeared vigilant. After giving it some thought, she walked up to her and sat down.
Yi Yi only looked dispassionately at her. She was still aggrieved and displeased, so she wasn’t in the mood to speak to Ye Liuli.
Moreover, she had been to many places with Lu Ye. Although her age and figure were similar to those of Ye Liuli, she was mentally more mature than the latter.
She could tell that Ye Liuli was a wealthy young lady who hadn’t experienced the vicissitudes of life.
“Sister-in-law?” Ye Liuli called out tentatively.
“W-What?” Yi Yi became anxious in an instant, thinking that she might’ve misheard her.
Hahahaha! This is even better than what I thought would happen. Honestly I love Hua Ci, she seems like a great match for Lu Ye, but I’ve always been impartial to Yi Yi. She’s such a sweet girl and I want her to be happy
