    “Hahahaha! Cough! Cough! Cough!”

Looking at the blood-covered figure that was seated on the altar, the Chief Elder of Heavenly Gully Cult, Xing Mo, started giggling. However, since his injury had been affected, he coughed lightly.

There was no doubt they had flipped the situation around just when they were in a despairing state.

The Cult Master had ascended to the next Realm. It was no wonder he had no regard for the enemies.

He was able to cast Guang Jing away with a flick. This kind of power transcended the limit in Soaring Dragon Boundary. With such a heritage, he certainly wasn’t afraid of the allied forces.

“I guess everything is well within your control, Cult Master!”

Admiration was written all over Xing Mo’s face.

Apparently, the commoners they had captured in Xue Zhou and the traitors of the Cult that they had killed couldn’t provide enough blood for the Grand Ward to be activated.

Nevertheless, the allied forces came attacking them, making the battlefield filled with slaughter and blood, which finally allowed the Heavenly Sage to activate the Grand Ward.

Presently, the Heavenly Sage exuded an aura that was exclusive to the legendary Real Lake Realm.

There was only one thought in Xing Mo’s mind.

Since he was finally able to take a peek at the Real Lake Realm, he could die with no regrets.

Meanwhile, Cheng Henfeng was equally thrilled. However, he wasn’t as fervent as Xing Mo as he realised that something was off. “What did the Cult Master mean when he said ‘my Lord’?”

He was bothered by what the Heavenly Sage had said as the latter was already one of the strongest cultivators in Soaring Dragon Boundary. He was on the same level as Fa Hua and Liu Tianyi, who were killed in this place. Who was it that was even more powerful than him and could let him address the person respectfully?

Xing Mo was oblivious to him as he appeared excited. “The Heavenly Sage and the Heavenly Gully Cult will live forever!”

He looked so fervent that it was as though he was about to start burning.

The surviving Cult members also chanted enthusiastically, “The Heavenly Sage and the Heavenly Gully Cult will live forever!”

At that moment, all of them were exhilarated. The Heavenly Gully Cult had suffered immense losses as only twenty per cent of the members were still alive. However, after the Heavenly Sage showcased his tremendous power, the situation seemed to have been flipped around. It was as though the Cult had gained the upper hand instead.

“That isn’t his power!” Guang Jing sported a dark expression. As he looked at the blood-covered Heavenly Sage, he was astounded.

He had directly dealt with the Heavenly Sage earlier, so he understood it better than anyone. He realised that the Heavenly Sage didn’t own the power. Instead, it came from the Grand Ward in this place.

Presently, the Heavenly Sage hadn’t reached the next Realm. In fact, no one was allowed to achieve that in this world.

    “Stop him!” Guang Jing yelled.

Regardless of what the Heavenly Sage was trying to do, they had to stop him. Otherwise, Soaring Dragon Boundary would be struck with a calamity.

As he spoke, he charged towards the Heavenly Sage again, followed by Yuan Changcun.

On the other hand, countless swords were seen breaking through the air and shooting towards the Heavenly Sage. Streams of Sword Qi crisscrossed one another and were filled with murderous intent as they descended on the Heavenly Sage.

It was the Book and Sword Technique from Grandeur Academy!

The current Director of Grandeur Academy had used the most lethal move of the technique, so it was imaginable that the attack was mighty.

At the same time, many cultivators from the allied forces made a move and attacked the Heavenly Sage.

Soon enough, the place where the Heavenly Sage was located was engulfed in lights of different colours.

The Heavenly Sage seemed to be enraged as he growled, “I’ve found the path ahead for all of you. However, not only are you ungrateful, but you’re also obstinate. Foolish people like all of you have to die!”

As soon as he finished speaking, the intricate blood river, which covered a radius of dozens of kilometres, started surging as though it had come to life. The thick blood evaporated and gathered around the altar where the Heavenly Sage was seated.

In just a moment, all the blood in the river disappeared.

The multi-coloured lights around the Heavenly Sage paled, and only the colour of blood was left in this world.

    “Get lost!” he barked.

The Blood Qi spread across the place, sweeping over all the people who were present. With the Heavenly Sage as the centre, the cultivators in a radius of several kilometres around him fell to the ground.

There was no doubt his move was horrifying. Even if the Heavenly Sage were in the Real Lake Realm, he couldn’t have activated such a power.

“What’s that?” Someone looked at the Heavenly Sage with a terrified look on his face.

Presently, the Heavenly Sage was covered in a blood ball, which squirmed and fluctuated as though it had a spirituality of its own.

“Ah!” The Heavenly Sage was heard shrieking from inside the ball. It was as though he was going through excruciating pain.

The turn of events shocked everyone as no one knew what was going on.

However, the next moment, the blood ball turned into a blood column and shot into the sky.

The altar was located right below the Heavenly Gully. The blood column shot upwards and penetrated the clouds before crashing into the Heavenly Gully.

    *Boom!*

As a buzzing sound was heard, the entire Soaring Dragon Boundary trembled.

The Heavenly Sage’s shriek intensified, which sent a chill down everyone’s spine.

The blood column never dissipated. As all of them looked at the Heavenly Gully, which had been around for eight hundred years, it started mutating all of a sudden.

The inside of the Heavenly Gully was originally grey, looking like an area of nihility.

Nevertheless, after the blood column shot into it, the Heavenly Gully also turned red. It was as though a blood sea was rolling inside.

Besides that, the Heavenly Gully also started expanding. The mark in the sky that had been around for eight hundred years rapidly grew in size.

A moment later, the blood column dissipated. The Heavenly Sage was paralysed on the altar like a pile of mud. It was as though he had gone through some unimaginable torture. His aura was extremely weak.

    “What’s going on!?”

Both the cultivators from Heavenly Gully Cult and the allied forces were dumbfounded.

The Heavenly Sage was still haughty earlier. He remained seated and perturbed while dealing with the joint attack from three of the strongest cultivators in the world. He also managed to cast Guang Jing away with a flick.

Besides that, he also caused the blood river to evaporate, after which a blood column shot into the sky.

Everyone thought that the Heavenly Sage was unrivalled.

However, in just more than ten breaths of time, a powerful cultivator like him was now paralysed on the floor.

Even the cultivators from the allied forces found it hard to accept the huge difference.

Chief Elder Xing Mo widened his eyes in disbelief, wondering how things ended up like this.

In that case, all of them from the Cult would be doomed.

“Hahaha!” Suddenly, the Heavenly Sage was heard laughing. Even though his breathing was weak as he was on his last legs, he wasn’t flustered at all. Instead, he appeared relieved while staring fixedly at the Heavenly Gully.

Since he had successfully carried out his plan, no one could stop it again.

“Look, the sky is bleeding!” someone exclaimed.

All of them looked up as their pupils dilated.

Blood light was seen rolling out of the Heavenly Gully. At first glance, one might think that the sky was indeed bleeding.

The Heavenly Gully, which had been hovering in the sky for eight hundred years, was the wound.

Meanwhile, an aura that made everyone feel uneasy flowed out alongside the blood.

In the blink of an eye, a blood sea formed below the Heavenly Gully.

Some vague figures were seen moving around beneath the blood sea.

With a splash, a part of the blood sea came apart, after which a tall figure stepped out of it.

All the cultivators were stunned upon seeing that. Even though the figure was shaped like a Human, he was different from a normal Human.

He was unusually tall, and his skin was blood-coloured, making him look like a cooked lobster. Moreover, he had a pair of pointed ears, and his fingernails were sharp.

The clothes he was wearing looked nothing like the common style in Soaring Dragon Boundary.

“Is that a Mutant?” someone questioned in shock.

There were Mutants in the Soaring Dragon Boundary. As long as their Spiritual Points were opened up, they could turn into a Human form. However, no one had seen a Mutant like him.

With that said, there were all sorts of Mutants, and some of them were rare. It wasn’t surprising that there were Mutants they had never seen before.

Nevertheless, the aura exuded from the person wasn’t Mutant Qi. Instead, it was something even more evil.

Furthermore, the person had stepped out from the blood sea, which came from the Heavenly Gully.

All the cultivators were horrified as an inconceivable thought formed in their minds.

Just as all of them were rooted to the spot, the blood-skinned man suddenly spoke in a voice that sounded just like a normal Human. “This world… is not bad!”

“Welcome, my Lord!” the Heavenly Sage called out weakly while lying on the altar.

The blood-skinned man was attracted by his voice as he turned to look at him condescendingly. “Are you the one who has been communicating with me over the years?”

The Heavenly Sage replied, “Yes, it’s me, my Lord.”

He was the Cult Master of the Heavenly Gully Cult. Even when facing Fa Hua and Liu Tianyi, he remained unperturbed. However, he was so respectful when talking to this blood-skinned man. They found it hard to accept.

The blood-skinned man nodded and flew towards the Heavenly Sage. Then, he extended his hand and grabbed the latter’s head.

“It’s thanks to you that I can successfully come to this world. Those who work for me will be rewarded for their contributions and will be punished for their mistakes. Keep that in mind.” As the blood-skinned man spoke, the blood light around him glowed brighter.

They could see unimaginably pure Blood Qi streaming into the listless Heavenly Sage, whose face started glowing again as his aura was soon restored.

Over ten breaths of time later, the blood-skinned man retracted his hand.

The Heavenly Sage looked at his hands and examined himself, feeling ecstatic. He knew that his hard work over the years had finally paid off. Without hesitation, he fell to one knee and said, “Thanks, my Lord!”

With the altar as the centre, the surviving Cult members and the cultivators from the allied forces looked at them in shock.

They had never been more astonished in their lives.

Earlier, they had seen the blood-skinned man revitalising the Heavenly Sage, who soon became energetic again when he was paralysed on the ground just a moment ago.

They had never seen or heard of such a move before.

Even though the blood-skinned man had only spoken briefly, the underlying meanings in his words were terrifying.

Guang Jing, Yuan Changcun, and Kui Yuanshan, who were the strongest cultivators from the allied forces, sported gloomy expressions.
