Chapter 6050, Another Array?
by SilavinAuthor: Silavin
*Ciiii* Sounds of scorching could be heard as wave after wave of arms made of Black Ink Strength was incinerated into oblivion. Even so, the Purifying Light screens were getting dimmer with each wave – eventually exhausted of power.
To maintain its strength, Yang Ji continued to consume more Crystals to launch out more beams, which Yang Xu took to manipulate into screens. Even if one screen faltered, there was a second layer already prepared.
With the twins working in tandem, sustaining this was not an issue. In fact, Mo Na Ye could entirely focus on flying up, above the mountain, thanks to the twins.
However, how could the enemy not foresee what the three were trying to do?
Right in front of Mo Na Ye’s eyes, the mountain grew even taller. Every metre he covered, it would grow by two. The peak, which was so close before, was now distancing!
Furthermore, to slow him down, more arms grew from above. Now, the back, front and top, were all blocked.
Even when he changed direction, to move to the side, it would be no different. The mountain would length, increasing its width, continuing to trap them behind it.
“If we can’t go around, then let’s go through!” Yang Ji said as he had already prepared Ninth-Order Crystals to blow through a hole. So far, they had been on the defensive, and had only used Sixth-Order Crystals. They still had not used Ninth-Order Crystals.
After all, the power of Sixth-Order Crystals were much lower than those of the Ninth-Order, allowing the twins to easily manipulate the shape and direction of the resulting Purifying Light. However, that was not the case of the Purifying Light created using Ninth-Order Crystals. The power of it was so much that Yang Ji was only confident in making condense till the thickness of an arm – with all his strength. However, for Sixth-Order Crystals, he was more than confident in consuming over a hundred Crystals at once and making beams as thick as his hair.
Yang Ji was about to charge up for a release, but Mo Na Ye suddenly stopped him and retreated back. “Stop!”
Yang Ji and Yang Xu could both feel their necks stiffen as they tried to maintain their posture while suddenly changing direction. They were about to open their mouth to ask what was going on when they heard a loud, *Boom!*
The sound was so loud their eardrums itched. However, they did not have any time to focus on such trivialities as the mountain in front of them was trembling as though it was about to collapse.
The millions of eyes and arms on its walls seemed to have been shaking by this. The eyes all seemed to narrow as the arms immediately stopped pursuing the twins and retreated.
For a moment, the trembling had subsided, possible due to the one manipulating all this Black Ink Strength to reinforce the mountain. However, the trembling never ceased.
Eventually, a crack on the mountain began to form. Arms upon arms moved to reinforce this crack, hugging each other, overlapping on top of one another, as though what was behind should never be allowed to break free. However, all this effort was in vain as something sharp broke out, and soon, liquid began to pour out.
The liquid did not seem to be affected by the arms, as it simply spread out to cover them. It did not seem to do much else.
Mo Na Ye’s expression at this moment was one of hesitation, while the twins were confused by this sight. Though, they did not remain confused for long as Yang Xu was sharp enough to pick up the pieces and understood that this was their ‘reinforcements’.
After all, it was only their allies on the other side. Besides, if the thing preventing them from returning was trying to resist, then it should be their ally.
Yang Ju soon realised this as well, and he began to sigh with relief.
As for Mo Na Ye, he seemed to come to terms with what must be done and he rushed forward. He abandoned all sense of preservation and simply flew at max-speed, towards the crack.
Initially, Mo Na Ye’s actions seemed fine with the twins. After all, if the crack were to break open, then they would have an escape route. However, with each passing moment, their heart rate was raised further. No matter how close they got, the crack did not seem to be widening. In fact, nothing had changed since Mo Na Ye had started charging forward. Worse, he was not even preparing to break open the Crack using a spear!
[Is he planning on breaking it open with his body?]
The twins could not help but think, realising that at this speed, even if they used their Qi to protect themselves, they would still be flattened.
As his heartbeat raced, Yang Ji instinctively started to prepare the two Crystals he took out.
Just seconds away from crashing, Yang Ji had activated Purifying Light.
However, before he did, the liquid that had escaped from the crack, and had already spread out around the crack, suddenly changed to form a strange pattern. This pattern was obtuse and mysterious, and it began to glow with a mysterious dark light.
Before Yang Ji had realised it, the Purifying Light concentrating in his hand had been removed, and the scene before him had completely changed.
His Divine Sense seemed to have been cut off, limiting it to only a few metres around him. However, even from what he could sense, everything was distorted beyond recognition.
By the time Yang Ji’s Divine Sense could come back into function, he heard a loud “Boom!* off in the distance.
“Wait. What just happened?” Yang Ji asked, turning towards his Sister. After all, before his Purifying Light blew up, he could clearly feel his Sister had manipulated it away. He knew her better than anyone – she would not have done that without a reason.
“That was a Teleportation Array… made of Black Ink Strength…” However, Yang Xu replied with a shocked expression, unable to comprehend the existence of this Array. Since they could still hear the explosion, that meant the Teleportation Array had not been a long-distance one. Still, the fact that there was a Teleportation Array at all meant that the Black Ink Clan had someone who could comprehend the Dao of Space.
“A Teleportation Array?” Yang Ji’s eyes widened, He tried to process what had happened. Indeed, only a Teleportation Array could have sent them away across Space without them knowing.
They had encountered an Array outside of Mo Na Ye’s home before, which someone had to have set up. This Teleportation Array just proves that someone within the Black Ink Clan was proficient in the Dao of Arrays, and even the Dao of Space.
The twins looked at each other, both in shock. They were trying to comprehend what was going on, were the history lessons all wrong?
As for the true relic of the past, Mo Na Ye, who was just following orders being relayed from the Small Black Ink Nest, he breathed a sigh of relief. If he had resisted the Teleportation Array, he and the kids would have been stuck there, and he would have to bear the major brunt of the Purifying Light explosion. Though it might not kill him, he certainly did not wish to get injured.
