Lu Fan’s Void Break had eight charges, meaning he could release seven more assaults in mid-air.

This was manageable since the graveyard was quite spacious, with the sky above it even more so. With hundreds of Shadow Death Sirens scattered about, even if Lu Fan used up all eight charges of Void Break, it would be difficult to instantly eliminate them all.

However, Lu Fan had four Mirror Image Projections!

Each Mirror Image Projection could also release eight charges of Void Break, which together with Lu Fan, would be a total forty assaults!

A full forty assault was enough to clear most of the Shadow Death Sirens in the area above the graveyard. Even if there were a dozen survivors, they posed minimal threat to Lu Fan’s group.

Lu Fan’s next seven charges of Void Break erupted instantly. He rushed through the Shadow Death Sirens, continuously weaving through them, while his Mirror Image Projections did the same.

Ye Wuxian and others could only watch as Lu Fan and his four Mirror Image Projections transformed into streaks of light in the air, moving at speeds invisible to the naked eye, each assault taking dozens of Monsters’ lives.

Above the seemingly empty graveyard, with each of Lu Fan’s assaults, several Monsters in the air would shatter, reveal their forms, then transform into black mist and vanish.

Some Monsters, after death, left behind Shadow Isle Essence, which fell to the ground,  uncollected.

In less than five seconds, Lu Fan’s Void Break combined with Extreme Speed Assault had completely cleared up the whole space above the graveyard. Nearly three hundred Shadow Death Sirens had been eliminated under Lu Fan’s assault, with only about a dozen survivors. These ‘lucky’ survivors were then instantly killed by Lu Fan and his Mirror Image Projections, using the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon Kings’ Dragon Breath.

Thus, three hundred Bosses were truly instantly killed by Lu Fan, leaving everyone except him stunned.

This was an incredible display of Burst Damage! These eight assaults would be unstoppable even when up against a Fourth Profession Player!

Moreover, Lu Fan’s Mirror Image Projections possessed such potent Combat Power, equally capable of instantly killing Level 95 Silver Grade Bosses. How was this not shocking?

Who could survive when Lu Fan attacked together with his four Mirror Image Projections!?

    It was absolutely terrifying…

Everyone was completely astounded until Lu Fan, riding his Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King, returned to the group, finally bringing them back to their senses.

“Alright, I’ve cleared out the Shadow Death Sirens. Next up are the Monsters lurking in the graves.” Lu Fan said.

“I’ll lead on. The rest of you all just follow behind me. Also, everyone needs to be careful. I just received an Opportune Mission to kill that Level 90 Diamond Grade Boss. This means there’s likely a Main Boss guarding this place, so we must be extremely cautious.”

Hearing this, everyone became highly alert as they began following Lu Fan toward the ancient city.

However, when they actually set foot in the graveyard, nothing unusual occurred.

This puzzled Lu Fan because according to his Black Dragon Perception, he could sense Monsters lurking beneath the graveyard. [Why aren’t they reacting to our presence?]

After some thought, Lu Fan controlled the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King to dig up one of the graves, and this excavation revealed something.

Beneath the grave was a strange dried corpse. The corpse was about twice the size of a person, curled up in a ball, wrapped in a strange cocoon.

Everyone was amazed by this thing, and the Destroyer even boldly took his giant axe and struck the cocoon.

Instantly, the cocoon split open, but it released a gush of black mist that enveloped the Destroyer, placing him under an extremely powerful Debuff.

This Debuff was called ‘Shadow Invasion’. It made the Destroyer’s body convulse uncontrollably, reducing his Attributes by 90% and causing him to lose all vision.

Fortunately, Lu Fan acted quickly, having Xiao Cui cast Jade Light on him, which removed the Debuff.

After the Debuff was Cleansed, the Destroyer was so frightened his face turned pale, swearing never to be careless again about striking unknown objects.

Notably, after the cocoon was split open and it released the black mist, it decayed and disappeared without providing any Experience Points to the group.

Clearly, these cocoons were not considered Monsters. Therefore, Lu Fan believes that it was impossible to get materials like Shadow Isle Essence from these cocoons.

After some consideration, Lu Fan decided to lead the group forward, ignoring the cocoons buried underground.

Although digging them out and destroying them with Range Damage would ensure a safe path forward without triggering any traps behind, with so many human cocoons in this area, how long would it take to dig them all out?

Moreover, all that work without any Experience Points or materials to gain was something Lu Fan could not accept.

He had also considered what would happen if these cocoons exploded while they were halfway through.

He figured that with Xiao Cui’s Eternal Guardian, they could protect themselves in any situation. So, ignoring these cocoons and proceeding straight forward would be fine.

Thus, Lu Fan led everyone forward, traveling five or six kilometres without incident.

In the blink of an eye, they were only three or four kilometres from the ancient city’s South Gate, where they could clearly see its weathered appearance.

Just as everyone secretly breathed a sigh of relief, thinking they could enter the city like this, Lu Fan suddenly stopped the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King, his expression becoming wary as he said, “Get ready for battle.”

Hearing these words, everyone tensed up, holding their weapons while carefully scanning their surroundings.

Almost as soon as Lu Fan finished speaking, the ground near the ancient city gate began to shake. Black earth turned over as a huge creature burrowed out from underground, instantly making the black shadow mist even thicker.

Looking at it, they saw it was an obese giant Monster, over five metres tall, with purplish black skin all over its body. It wore tattered clothing, and looked like a swollen, nearly-rotting corpse. It had no eyeballs, only two pitch-black holes, and held a huge, rusty weapon that looked like both a hammer and a pickaxe.

Lu Fan immediately used Appraisal on it. Sure enough, it was the Boss mentioned in the Mission – the Shadow Excavator.

This Boss had numerous Skills that Lu Fan could not read clearly in time. Even so, he could roughly tell this was a Summoner Type Boss who, while tough-skinned, was not particularly powerful.

After appearing, the Shadow Excavator did not hesitate. It raised its pickaxe high and smashed it into the ground.

Instantly, a wave of pitch-black mist centred on it spread outward, engulfing the entire graveyard.
